The NWBA High Performance Team is taking applications to fill an additional five spots at the 2015 USA
Womens Selection Camp. If you are interested in trying out for the 2015 USA Womens Wheelchair
Basketball Team please send an email to the USA Womens Head Coach, Stephanie Wheeler, at
slwheele@illinois.edu that includes a recommendation from your current coach and make arrangements
to supply video of you playing offense, defense and transition. Due date for letter of recommendation
and video is December 4th. You will be notified by December 10th if you have been selected to fill one of
the final opening at the Selection Camp.
Details of the camp should you be selected to attend:
If you are extended an invitation and attend the Selection Camp, the National Wheelchair Basketball
Association will provide you with the following:

Roundtrip transportation from Colorado Springs airport to the OTC (NOT airfare to COS);

Accommodations and meals while in residence at the OTC;

USA practice jersey;

A skills, strength and conditioning testing program;

Medical support staff and facilities;

A world-class individual evaluation led by our 2016 Paralympic coaching staff;

The opportunity to represent the Unites States of America at the 2014 Toronto Parapan
American Games.

As an athlete at this camp, you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from Colorado
Springs, navy blue or black practice shorts, any personal basketball items, personal undergarments, and
any extra costs outside of the normal camp program, including personal travel, phone calls, entertainment
and meals outside of the training center. When making your flight reservations, please plan to arrive in
Colorado Springs no later than 4pm on January 22nd and plan to fly out no earlier than 2pm on January
25th.

Attached is the 2015 USA Basketball Training Camp and Competition Schedule. By accepting the
invitation, you are committing to attending all training camps and competitions should you be selected to
the 2015 USA Womens National Team.

Failure to attend all scheduled activities may result in

disqualification from eligibility to be named to the 2015 USA Womens National Team.
