NOVEMBER 2014 UPDATE

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Interim Phoenix VA Health Care System


Director Glen W. Grippen, began his one
year assignment on November 17, 2014.

Ms. Kathleen Fogarty, from the Tampa VA,


began her assignment as Interim Network
Director on Nov 17, 2014.

Ms. Rebecca Kordahl, RN, began her 90


day assignment as Acting Associate Director for Patient Care Services on November
12, 2014.

Veteran Town Hall Thursday, December


4th at 6:30pm. PVAHCS and the Phoenix
Regional Office will jointly host a town hall
in the PVAHCS ACC Conference rooms.

NEW PLACES & SPACES

7,000 sf of space for the Scottsdale VA Clinic that will provide Primary Care, Mental Health & serve 3,000 Veterans.
Anticipated clinic activation date is April 2015.

5,000 sf of space for Homeless Community Referral and


Resource Center Anticipated activation date is May 2015.

30,000 sf of space for a Bridge Lease to supplement primary


care operations. 10,000 sf will be for Mental Health Anticipated clinic activation date is September 2015.

20,000 sf of space for expanded Southwest Phoenix CBOC


Anticipated activation date is September 2015.

New Construction of the 20,000 sf Outpatient Behavioral


Health Building Anticipated construction completion date is
May 2018.

Renovation of 8,000 sf for the PTSD Clinic will be completed


in FY15.

Construction of the new Emergency Department Expansion


will begin in mid-December, 2014.

PARKING
VALET PARKING FOR VETERANS WILL
BEGIN DECEMBER 1, 2014
The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) will soon
begin construction of a four-level parking garage. During the
construction, PVAHCS will offer FREE valet parking for our
Veterans.
The valet service will begin December 1, 2014, before the
parking garage construction begins. The new garage will
provide 404 additional parking spots for Veterans once completed. Ground breaking for the new garage will begin in
mid-December. Information on patient parking options to include a campus map, is being sent to all Veterans who have
an appointment at the main campus.
