my reply last night to Vegas Scorpion and China Passage explained

some 'basics' of 'Ashtak'. I use it intraday by tracking the
movement of the Sidereal Moon thru a 'sign' as well as the MC over
NYC (I trade the YM.) Whether you use NYC or Chicago, the MC
will move 30* in approx 2hrs and remember that each 3.75* of a
30* sign has a 'natural ruler'. Transiting MC was at 0*Leo at
8:41am EDT and the 1st 3.75* on any sign is ruled by Saturn. The
MC will transit to 0* Virgo at 10:33am EDT and the 2nd segment
of a sign is ruled by Jupiter.
Today, the Sidereal Moon reaches 15* Scorpio @ 9:49am and the
segment from 15* - 18.75* of a sign is ruled by Venus.

Have not looked yet at movements of MC or ASC but based on your

comments it seems to be worthwhile or is it a MUST??

hi HT,
Using MC or ASC gives you more intraday time points to
'watch'. Fwiw, I find the MC more useful than the ASC - which
is a bit of a quandry since natal ASC is actually one of the
components of Ashtak?

I haven't been able to make the 'bindu' count work for intraday I think you would need a viable 'natal' chart to do that
effectively. What I've describe is my version of a 'kiss' Ashtak.

This is not Ashtakavarga but has anybody ever tried using the ASC
ingressing the 27 Nakshatras as timing for the ES? I seem to get
some really interesting results with this simple method. Today was
almost perfect.

I also track transiting 'fortuna' (Point of Fortune) for intraday short

term turns - although it's not part of traditional Vedic astrology, the
calculation involves the Sun, Moon, & Asc so it's like a composite
of 3 important energies.

Have you continued to use the timings of nakshatra entry points
related to the ES? I was thinking more about how to apply vedic
astrology.
Does Wave59 have the nakshatra entry points or are you able to
plug them in manually?
