Managing Director

Challenged to start up the credit, collections, customer service and sales operations. Partnered closely with CEO to develop
business plans, access capital, acquire bank lines, hire and manage personnel, implement processes and grow revenues.
Managed negotiations and relationships with preferred clients, broker-originators, credit data sources, attorneys and
collection organizations. Owned performance of $60M portfolio. Led and managed 2-10 direct reports. Board Member.

Built a fresh credit platform that doubled the volume of high-quality, prime and non-prime loan
originationsprocessed without adding staffforging a unique collaboration between credit and sales groups.
Drove exceptional vintage static pool results as Chief Credit Officer and collaborated with CEO to expand
bank credit facilities with lower cost of funds and improved loan covenants along with lower loan loss reserve
contributions and additional successful debt and equity raises.
Collaborated to increase EBTDA up 54% from 2012 to 2013 while managing account quality and risk
to produce performance comparable to the A grade credits of a strong bank portfolio but with higher yields.
Reduced delinquencies from 22% to 4.6% within 4 months on a $13M deeply discounted purchased
portfolio of document deficient leases, turning around the performance and substantially increasing returns.
Evaluated and championed board decisions regarding business strategies, business transformation,
mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital investments and budgets.
Earned recognition for expertise and knowledge of commercial loan and lease contracts, compliance issues,
the U.C.C., debtor settlements, lease accounting practices and the underwriting of complex transactions.

Hired as Credit Manager to improve front end operations and turn around an underperforming small business portfolio.
Quickly promoted to VP to lead credit and collections for this leveraged privately held equipment leasing company. Led and
managed a team of 25 professionals. Owned performance for various portfolios totaling up to $750M.

Helped grow assets under management from $10M to $750M, leading the front-end and back-end credit,
collection and customer service operations for clients such as Steelcase, Tandem, NEC, Wells Fargo, and Octel.
Reduced delinquencies and charge-offs by 50% within 3 months, establishing sound credit and collection
processes, and training credit, collections, and customer service personnel.
Played an integral role in helping to establish a strong, well-managed company reputation, modeling
leadership behaviors and a commitment to an exceptional company culture and strong performance.
Led and managed strong portfolio growth, performance and earnings that resulted in Trinitys successful
acquisition by Bank of the West in 2002.
