directional MU-MIMO testing

The new standard for WiFi (WLAN) 802.11ac/n is promised

to provide extraordinary improvements in speed, reliability
and quality of wireless connectivity if designed and
implemented properly. Propsim radio channel emulators
are widely used in the industry for principal design and
for testing to ensure overall performance of wireless
connectivity of devices.
Propsim radio channel emulator is designed to quickly and reliably test the chipset and device
implementation of 802.11ac/n physical layer features. Using Propsim in testing of 802.11ac
chipsets and devices enables considerable savings in total test and design time both in
terms of labour and component costs. This easy to use test method speeds up product
development cycles and provides the opportunity to access the market faster with a verified
and reliable 802.11ac WiFi product.
The research and design of an antenna system, receiver chipset algorithms and system
software are the typical product development phases where Propsim is frequently used.
Propsim provides a simple setup of the 802.11 n/ac standard based test environment. It is
an accurate and repeatable test environment enabling engineers to verify and troubleshoot
physical layer operation and evaluate system level end-to-end product performance.
Leading chipset manufacturers have selected Propsim for 802.11 testing because it is the only
channel emulator on the market with testing features for 802.11. With Propsim users are able
to implement the advanced features of 802.11ac in their chipsets and devices ahead of the
industry schedule.

Propsim 802.11ac/n Testing Tools provide you access to real world like propagation conditions
enabling you to quickly test and evaluate receiver performance with several different kinds
of antenna types. The Tools can also be used to evaluate how much antenna unbalance the

upgrade options

The Propsim 802.11 Test Tools are designed to be compliant with IEEE802.11 standards and
therefore a safe choice for all users in the wireless industry. The 802.11ac standard has been
enhanced with optional features such as multi-user MIMO and beam forming. These features
are already supported by Propsim F8, which means the equipment is future proof for 802.11
testing. In addition to the industry standard testing capability for IEEE 802.11ac/n chipsets
and devices, users have access to most advanced test tools for designing and testing the
performance of MIMO and active antenna designs.
