GOD'S ON THE MOVE! CATCH HIS WAVE! NOT ANY WHICH WAVE!

Knowing the day of visitation will assist in getting to where God is, not where He was!
And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known,
even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are
hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench
about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even
with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon
another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. Luke 19:41-44 KJV
Do not be where God was, but where He IS!
It is more than just tracking God or tracking the move of God. We need to catch up to where He
is! We need to align ourselves with Him! We need to be found in the river of His movement. It's
the only way we can be carried along in the stream of His flow. When we're not where God is we
can end up wandering around in circles in our personal wilderness, with all its tedium, toils and
troubles.
The tragedy of delay is seen in Numbers 13 and 14!
And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.
And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying,
Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have
sinned. And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD?
but it shall not prosper. Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten
before your enemies. For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall
fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be
with you. But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of
the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp. Then the Amalekites came down, and the
Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto
Hormah. Numbers 14:39-45 KJV
We need to be careful of ...
1. Listening to the voice of humans instead of the voice of God
2. Letting fear prevail over faith
3. Murmuring and inciting violence against those who are urging obedience to the LORD.
We should not just be saying "God was here, but... God IS here! When God is here with us, we
stopping dwelling on what was and start living in what is! We have moved from past to present
as we move with His Presence!
The tragedy of delay is seen in Song 5:2-7
I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me,
my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with
the drops of the night. I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet;
how shall I defile them? My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels
were moved for him. I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and
my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock. I opened to my beloved;
but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought

him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer. The watchmen that
went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took
away my veil from me. Song of Solomon 5:2-7 KJV
How often have we treated the Lover of our heart and soul, the One Who will give us a brand
new body, with disrespect and indifference?!
How often have we worked with Him only at our convenience, our disposition or our
availability?
How often has our professed adoration of Him rang false and forced?
How quickly we forget what He has done for us and is doing for us?
How often have we made Him a religion to be pursued only at our pleasure and our availability?
How often have we sent Him away from us until a more convenient time?
We need to catch His wave!
There is an idiom "Catch the wave" meaning to join the trend, or to do what is popular. The
Online Dictionary defines it this way: catch the wave: to understand and behave according to
the most modern fashions in social behavior to try to get an advantage for yourself by becoming
involved with something that is becoming popular or fashionable
Many of us live exhausting lives jumping from one trend to the next. We are kept too busy
hopping from wave to wave generated by the world, flesh and devil failing to grasp the need to
flow with God's presence! We're busy moving from church to church, meeting to meeting
thinking that we'll get into the move of God, yet all the time failing to recognize that the problem
is within ourselves!
"Catch the wave" in surfing it means to ride the wave before it moves on!
In our commitment to catch God's wave we are like a surfer riding the waves. To ride the wave
we need to be where the wave is!
It requires us:
1. To be in the right place!
2. To be alert!
3. To be ready to ride!
We do not make the waves, God does! We don't control the waves, God does!
Waves made by self effort leaves oneself exhausted. We do not plan to do something big for God
and dream up plans expecting Him to bless it!
We occupy until He comes!
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till
I come. Luke 19:13 KJV The word occupy is translated from pragmateuomai; Sounds much
like pragmatic! Derived from pragma meaning business, down to earth practical matters
Occupy therefore means to do business therefore requiring a certain level of commitment and
involvement. And what business are we called to be involved in? Jesus said He must be about his
Father's business! He also said to His disciples As the Father has send me so send I you!
Therefore we are in the same business. We are to get busy doing business with what He has
given us! Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can
do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these
also doeth the Son likewise. John 5:19 KJV

As we occupy we keep a constant eye out for the wave that indicates His presence and ride with
it!
We wait on Him!
Every sovereign move of God is preceded with intense prayer by the people of God! We lie
prostrate before Him, awaiting the arrival of His presence!
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the
youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon
the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall
run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31 KJV
Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all
things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar
with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him
declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of
heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's
hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and
hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they
should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far
from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of
your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:22-28 KJV
How many of us still worship God in ignorance?
How many of us subscribe to superstitious habits and traditions?
How many of us are slaves and addicted to manmade, flesh generated programs and human
efforts?
It's in Him that we live and move and have our being! Let's seek Him!
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of
refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which
before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of
all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Acts 3:19-21 KJV
Repentance is required before Refreshing is received!
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked
forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD,
and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my
thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the
heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts
than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:6-9 KJV
Do not let Him move on without you! Catch His wave! Ride with Him!
It's better to ride the wave of His tsunami than to have it knock you down and out!

The concept of authority and power

Authority and power are two words used in the New Testament KJV that can be confusing unless
we are aware of their origin.
For instance exousia and dunamis are both translated power. Exousia is translated as power and
authority while dunamis is translated power, works, might, miracles etc but is never translated as
authority!
An example of power and authority is noted in a police officer who carries both a badge
(authority) and a gun (power)
