Bicycles in Puebla city

Continuing on its efforts for a better, more ecological place, theres the DIUS (Integral and
Sustainable Urban Development in Spanish) supported by the government, The Countys Institute
for Panning and the Secretary of Urban Development and Public Constructions, that has, amongst
other strategies, the plan to start a rental for bicycles in the Center of the city, with special venues
for these vehicles.
This movability plan counts with three stages, the first one being the sustainable transport, that
aims to increase the number of non-motorized and on foot trips, comfortable public transport that
is also efficient and accessible, as well as promoting a life of social interaction as well as
encouraging people to leave their cars home and walk more and using less polluting ways of
transportation, a reason why the government is providing with more options of a public transport
that takes you downtown comfortably.
The citys major, Eduardo Diaz Rivera is head of this ecological movement that encourages a nonmotorized mobility and will continue to implement safe walks, this new bicycle implementation,
