Have a wonderful break!

News from the Nurse
As colder weather comes in and more children
are getting the usual winter colds, now is a
good time to review the rules for giving medicine in the school. First of all, please remember that unless its absolutely necessary to
take at school, all medications should be given
at home. If a child truly needs to take medication at school for any reason, it is required
that a parent/guardian bring the medication
to the school. DO NOT send any medication with your child. All medication brought
to school must be in the original container. If
it is a prescription medication, the prescription label must be on the bottle and it must be
a current label. Also, remember that according
to Hall Co. Schools, cough drops are considered a medication and must be stored in the
clinic and not placed in the childs backpack or
desk. Please help to reinforce these rules by
remembering them if you decide that your
child needs to take medication during the
school day. For information relating to medication rules, please call me or check our website www.lanier.hallco.org and visit the
Nurses news page for updated information.
Have a great December, and stay healthy!

Teacher of the Month for December

Mrs. Milller
12th

This is my
year teaching, the past 10
years have been at Lanier. I love teaching
at Lanier where I attended elementary
school! Starting in kindergarten I had the
dream of one day becoming a teacher, and
Im so glad that I followed that dream because I love every minute of it! I enjoy
spending time with my husband John and
our 2 children, Jackson and Hudson. Camping, being outdoors, sports and
reading are a few of my
hobbies.
