becoming more aware of how they are learning and what different teaching
and learning strategies are trying to achieve
sections, and a summary page called What I Have Learned. Below, you will see a
screenshot of what my eportfolio looks like, to help you understand what I am looking
for.
Where it says more, I have pages 6-9 plus the summary page. You should be able to
visit my eportfolio site here, although there is nothing in it yet. I will be adding to you
along with all of you as we go through the course, and you can come back and visit
anytime during the course!
Submission 1
The first submission of the eportfolio for marking will be in Week 4, and you will need to
have completed the first three (3) assignments. For most assignments, I have given
you some of the three hour class time, and have included them as a summary
assignment. Later in the course, there are a few assignments that are not part of the
course content time, and you will need to work on them outside of class. I will ALWAYS
post information about due dates, and reminders of things you should be working on to
help keep you up-to-date with course material.
Submission 2
The second submission of the eportfolio for marking will be in Week 9, and you will
need to have completed the next three (3) assignments (so, assignments 4, 5 and 6).
Submission 3
The third and final submission of the eportfolio for marking will be in Week 13, and you
will need to have completed the final three (3) assignments plus a summary of what you
have learned in this course (so, assignment 7, 8 and 9).
Completing the Assignments
For ALL assignments, it will be up to you as to what you want to include, and how you
will demonstrate your learning. The main point of the assignment is to show that you
are thinking about and learning about the material. How you show me that is not as
important. You will be able to include written work, pictures, edited images, word
graphics, information graphics, videos, mind mapsbasically anything that you want to
use. Think about how you learn best, and how you best remember information before
deciding HOW you will complete the assignment.
Examples of Eportfolios
Here is an example of an eportfolio for an English course. It gives you an idea of the
kind of work this student has been doing, and has included in her eportfolio to
demonstrate her learning. This link here will show you some more examples of
eportfolios built with Weebly. Just click on the pages to bring up the actual eportfolio.

Now, its time to go to Weebly.com and start your own eportfolio!
