1 Overview
This release comprising of drivers for Windows 8 OS is RC release for Dell Eurostar program.
It supports all the features listed in the sections under each component.
This release has been through the testing listed in the Testing section below. The change list
in appendix.

All drivers in this release are signed drivers.

4 Applications

Atheros software to identify Dell system for system lock feature and encrypted list of
supported Dell platforms is included.
There is no Atheros supplied wireless configuration and monitoring applications in this
release.

Description
Separate installer for Windows 8.1

This release includes customized installers with Dell branding. All features as per VSOW
are supported including:
Install lock feature enforcing software installation only on Dell systems.
Installation valid for wireless cards with Dell product Ids.

6 Localization
This release software is localized to support the below 32 languages. It includes

Installer supports all 32 languages for Windows 8 installation.

6.2 User guides in CHM, CAB and MAML format

User help content in all supported formats is available in all 32 languages for Window 8.1 OS.
Localization of help content for Window 8 will be supported in subsequent drop. Only the
English version of the help files for Windows 8 is available in this drop.

Appendix I : Change list for WLAN driver

Software changes between build 10.0.0.3 and 10.0.0.260:
Fixed:
1. Fixed the BSOD 7E which was caused by dirty read write issue without protect by two threads.
2. Adjust beacon interval of GO in MCC mode
3. Enhance the RX performance of client side in MCC mode.
4. Sync up the registry setting for different OS
5. Update INF entries.

Appendix II : Change list for installer

Software changes between build 10.0.0.250 and 10.0.0.261:
Fixed:
1. Add support for win8.1.
2. No need to check dell lock feature when uninstall.
