Wireless Network principles, designs, planning and operations. Topics cover various technologies: FDMA,
TDMA and CDMA. WLAN and Bluetooth. Algorithms and techniques for efficient wireless network design
and operations for both voice and data communications.

• Course Policies
 o Reading Assignments

In addition to the lecture, you will be asked to read materials related to the new development and other
topics. I might ask you to write research papers on some topics as ways to evaluate your work, or I
might simply ask questions related to the assignments in the test. So keep in mind that no turn in doesn’t
mean no evaluation!

o Collaboration and Policy on Scholastic Dishonesty

Collaboration on project and exams is NOT permitted.

Copying during exams and on project will not be tolerated. Students who violate university rules on
scholastic dishonesty will be subject to disciplinary penalties, including the possibility of failure in the
course and/or dismissal from the university. Since such dishonesty harms the individual, all students and
the integrity of the university, policies on scholastic dishonesty will be strictly enforced. The instructor
reserves the right to ask students to explain how they reached their solution. If the student is unable to
provide a satisfactory explanation, (s)he may lose points even if the answer is correct.

o Makeup Exams

Makeup exams will be given only in case of valid reasons (medical or family emergencies). In such
cases, the instructor should be notified well in advance (where applicable). The instructor's decision is
final with regard to the validity of the reason. Forgetfulness or being stuck in routine traffic are not
valid reasons.

o Miscellaneous

The student is responsible for any lectures and/or announcements that (s)he missed.
