ones. Understand the following as special cases:
100 can be thought of as a bundle of ten tens called a "hundred."
The numbers 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine hundreds (and 0 tens and 0
ones).

* A bowl of Swedish fish (or whatever you have, but the fish make since with the alligator cards)
* Each pair will have three cards: one greater than, one less than and one equal to card with the corresponding symbol on them and a picture of an
alligator with its mouth open on the greater than and less than cards.

Assessment (how will you test for mastery):


There will be an assessment quiz at the end of the unit.
Additional Accommodations (what will you do for the ESE or ESOL child):
*Will be pulled to work on the practice workbook sheets with the teacher.
* Teacher will model with the alligator cards and fish and explain that the alligator wants to eat the greater number of fish.
* Could also use base ten blocks and record numbers onto a place value chart.
