Cycle Count - ABC Analysis

Purpose
This work instruction is used to analyze and set the cycle counting strata. The system analyzes
the value of consumption (usage) or requirements values for the selected materials and assigns
either an A, B or C strata based on the configuration. A parts have a higher consumption value,
where the Cs are the lowest.

Prerequisites
Material Master and Strata Configuration

Menu Path
To go to the ABC Analysis Report for cycle Counting (Phys.Inv) screen, use the following menu
path:
Logistics Materials Management Physical Inventory Special Procedures
Cycle Counting Set CC indicator

Work Steps
1. Update the following Required, Optional, and Conditional fields, as needed:

consumption values.

requirements from stock
transport orders).

Change CC percentages

Select this field if you

want to change the
distribution of the
materials to the individual
cycle counting categories.
A window appears in
which you can change the
percentages of the
various cycle counting
indicators.
(Do not select)

One of the following options must be selected.

Display list first

Select this field if you first

wish to obtain a list of
materials with the newly
determined cycle counting
indicator.
From this list, you can use
Change CC indicator to
initiate the cycle counting
indicator to be changed in
the individual material
master records.

Update without list

Select this field if you do

not want to obtain a list, but
wish to directly copy the
newly determined cycle
counting indicators into the
individual material master
records.
