Dr. Suleiman Braimoh, Representative, UNICEFEritrea also addressed the audience appreciating the
work of the people and Government of Eritrea in
reducing infant mortality, increasing access to water
and sanitation, improving access to schools and
scaling up protection mechanisms for all children.
Let us recommit ourselves today, see where we can
do better, develop or strengthen partnerships,
overcome barriers holding us back and channel our
energies to reduce the inequities that endanger
children today and threaten their hopes for the
future, Dr. Braimoh said. Let us embrace new
ideas and look for new ways to make child rights a
reality for all children in Eritrea.
During the ceremony, children performed songs,
dramatic skits and poems all related to the theme of
child rights.
