CEP DEMOLITIONS GAINS SHOP WINDOW WITH MAJOR CONSTRUCTION BUYERS

CEP Demolitions based in Glasgow has gained a shop window with some of the biggest companies
in the construction sector by joining Achilles Building Confidence the UK construction industry
accreditation and risk management scheme.

CEP, which has 18 staff and provides demolition and dismantling services, will now be able to share,
via an online platform, its performance in key business areas, such as health and safety,
environment, quality and compliance.

In total, 17 national and international construction companies have selected Achilles Building
Confidence as their preferred standard for supplier pre-qualification, registration and accreditation.
They use a standardised pre-qualification questionnaire to streamline the procurement process and
manage risk consistently among 1,500 suppliers. Achilles then carries out desktop and physical
audits of the information.

Stephen Marshall, Manager of Achilles Building Confidence, said: By demonstrating a clear

commitment to health and safety, environment, quality and compliance, CEP Demolitions has shown
itself to be a role model for other construction companies, and put itself in the best possible position
to secure a pipeline of work opportunities from major construction buyers.

Albert Harkess, Managing Director of CEP said CEP has ambitious plans for growth. By applying the
Achilles Framework to our business we knew that this would give us the firm foundations to develop
the business. The staff team, led by Louise Percy of Positive About Business Ltd, built on the
processes already in place to ensure we met the Achilles requirements. It is a fantastic achievement.

John Harkess, Contracts Director said Achieving Achilles accreditation is a credit to our dedicated
staff team both office and site based most of whom have been with CEP Demolitions for an average

of 17 years. We look forward to continuing building on the accreditation using a continuous

improvement internal management plan.

Achilles BuildingConfidence is run by a steering group of construction buyers. In the last three years,
members have seen a 52% reduction in non compliances in issues linked to ethics, a 42% fall in noncompliance on health and safety, a 50% drop in non-compliance around risk assessment and a threefold increase in demand for audits.
