PROJECT UNDERTAKEN AT M.TECH
PROJECT TITLE: Fuzzy Control of Liquid Level System & Associated Sensor Design
PROJECT GUIDES:
1. Dr. Rajan Sarkar, Assistant Professor, Electrical Engg Dept., Asansol Engineering
College
2. Dr. N. Mandal, Assistant Professor, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
Dept., Asansol Engineering College
PROJECT SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Designing a controller based on fuzzy logic Mamdani Implication Method to control a
second order liquid level control process by using MATLAB/SIMULINK. Also designing a
new type of liquid level sensor based on Hall Effect which uses a differential pressure
measuring device as primary transducer which measures the liquid level that is directly
proportional to the differential pressure between the buoyant pressure and the atmospheric
pressure and converting it into an appropriate voltage signal.
TESTING CENTRE
PLACE: KOLKATA
TRAINING TOPIC: TRAINING ON INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL
ENGINEERING
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Our training was mainly divided into four labs- mechanical, electrical, chemical and
metallurgical. In the mechanical lab, we are shown different types of instruments such as optical
flats, CNC lathes, interferometer, etc. and their functions.
In the electrical lab, we are shown different types of calibrating instruments such as multiproduct calibrator and clamp-on tester. Then we are also required to calibrate thermocouple
using a standard thermocouple as reference.
In the chemical lab, we are shown chemical analyzing instrument such as chromatograph and its
functions.
In the metallurgical lab, we are shown stress calibrating device.
