OUR LADY OF PEACE CHURCH HALL PROJECT Although progress has been slow, we now
find ourselves in a position requiring the services of a fully qualified Architect. If there is anyone in
the parish who is qualified as an Architect, and who would be willing to help us with this project,
could you please contact Fr Andy (01628-605764) or Bob Bryant (01628-543650). We are reaching
a point where we will have some concrete proposals to submit to the Diocese, and then, subject to
their approval, to the Parish, hence our need for an Architect. If you can help, we would be most
grateful. Thank you.
THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION will be conferred by Bishop Peter
NEXT year on Tuesday, 23rd June 2015 at 7.30pm. If any young person from
Year 8 onwards would like to receive Confirmation next year, then please will
they themselves write to Fr Andy as soon as possible to request to receive this
Sacrament and to join the course. All applications need to be in by next Friday,
20th December please.
USED STAMPS Over the years used stamps have been collected at Slough and have been sold
on to raise funds for work undertaken in schools, hospitals and Parishes by Sisters, Brothers, Lay
People and Priests in the developing world.. At this time of year with the sending of Christmas
Cards a common practice, there is a great opportunity to boost the collection of used stamps to sell
on to Dealers and Collectors and use the proceeds to assist in funding Church projects. This can
be done here in this Parish by as many people as possible depositing as many stamps as is
possible in the Stamps for the Missions box at the back of Church. Please make a real effort to
bring your used Christmas Card stamps to Church over the next couple of weeks and help in this
simple way to support the Church's work abroad. Thank You.
