Job description for NPO Manager ( OPCO )

General Purpose
-Manage network design and tuning activities in the project to ensure fulfilment of contractual
targets and customer KPIs for Multi vendor equipment

Main Responsibility Areas

Responsible for all NPO deliverables related to Radio Planning and Optimisation.

Job Description
Attend the customer ORM and handle escalations within the OPCO .
Handle the NPO team , within the network for delivering the complete NPO Scope within the
country .
Optimisation of the ( multi vendor RF ) network and the maintaining the Radio KPIs according to
the contractual targets
Work within the Opcos of Bharti to determine the Radio Planning requirements and get the
quarterly approval of the erlangs from the customer .Plan for the deployment of erlangs all the
Opcos
Maintaining the KPIs so that they are in the Target and the Reward Zone. .
Responsible for managing the team for fulfilment of the contractual obligations ( Benchmarking
Drive test , Grow Degrow capacity calculations , maintaining the KPIs )
The design of radio system propagation and capacity plan according to client requirements,
equipment and ITU specifications. The calculation of radio frequency and Interference plan and
the allocation thereof to dimension the network.
The execution of site surveys to collect accurate site information, the documentation thereof to
dimension the network accurately. Specifically for radio associated infrastructure.
The calculation of quantities of types of equipment to dimension BOM's correctly by
incorporating the site survey information and design outputs.
The analysing of a network, planning and dimensioning of plan for Radio networks. The
documentation of site survey reports, high level design documents, installation documents to
report on the design and planning of radio networks. (Reporting & Documenting).
Requirements of the job
In depth knowledge of Flexi radio and Flexi MR
Multi vendor Radio network optimisation experience
Managerial experience to lead the NPO team
Customer workshops
Interface with customer
Tools: Link Budget tools, DIM tools, Asset / NetAct Planner, MapInfo

Additional Requirements

Minimum qualification Bachelors Degree ( in Electronics / Telecommunication) or Equivalent

Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in Telecommunications industry
Strong Experience in customer management and team management
Experienced in Planning and Optimisation management
Experience with NSN processes
In-depth knowledge of Radio planning principles, methodologies and practices.
