Use the questions to revise, referring back to Units 1-5 while doing the test.

Read this text and circle the correct tense.
Three hundred passengers are stranded on board a luxury cruise ship at sea after it was
abandoned by the crew. Twenty-two members of the crew have decided/decided to
mutiny at 8 oclock yesterday morning while most of the passengers had/were having
breakfast. It was/is not until an hour after the scheduled departure time that the
passengers realized/were realizing that they were alone on board.
In a declaration to the press, the crew said/were saying that they will not return/should
not return to the ship until wages are paid. It appears/has appeared that the crew did
not receive the wages they expected/have expected from the shipping company three
months ago. A company manager has told/told reporters this morning that he is
