Why many Malaysian people professionals prefer working in foreign countries instead of
serving in their own country.

Nowadays, many Malaysian from the professionals prefer to work in foreign countries
rather than servicing in their own country. It becomes a new trend in Malaysia. When they
work in foreign countries, they may improve their life to a better life. It is because the new
technology and their system will help the Malaysian people professional to make them easy
working. Many Malaysian professional prefer working in foreign countries instead of serving
their own country because they can improve the financial status, the infrastructure technology
and they get the balance life time between working time and family.
The first reason why Malaysian people prefer working aboard than servicing in their
own country is that they can improve their financial status by getting job opportunity and
lucrative salary at an international company board. Many people are race in get the job in the
aboard because if they get a scholarship programme from government they can handle or
manage the big company by themselves and for sure the potential to increase the financial is
higher. They also can also takes up permanent programme residence because the job offers a
great payment. By working abroad also, a great and lucrative payment will be paid to the
workers. According to The Star, July 2007, whom who get the skilled of labour and
professionals their payment is very high and expensive. Tan Sri R. V. Navaratham ( 2013 )
also said that higher pay and better perks are offered by companies abroad. So, working
abroad will increase the status of our financial by getting the job opportunity abroad and
having a lucrative salary.
Another reason why Malaysian people prefer working in foreign countries instead of
serving their own country is that the infrastructure of technology is completely well
prepared in order to make sure that all the works becomes easily to do and have efficient
system. According to Shazanaza ( 2013 ) work becomes easy to do with the help of high
technology that make the works can be done completely. Furthermore, she also said that the
infrastructure technology can be finish up the work in shorter time. According to the
Magladen K ( 2010 ), in foreign country, there is efficient system which provides good
environment and infrastructure that gives better view to the workers. This can reduces some
stress at work at work place while doing works. In addition, the efficient public transport
system are also provided that the important safety first. This can make them feel safe,

comfortable and free to move. According to Magladen K., ( 2010 ), more in abroad crime are
less prevalent than in Malaysia which had high rate of criminal action especially at the city
centre where it is a place of attention for most people to spend their free time with friends or
family. So, with high technology provided to the workers, the works becomes easily to finish
up and have an efficient system.
Besides, by working in foreign country, the life is more flexible if compared to
working in own country in the context of balancing between the working time and family.
The working time is more flexible and easy to manage in daily life. According to Barbara S.
( 2005 ) husband and wife must alert in splitting responsibilities for family in order to
conduct their career towards better. They must be good in tolerating to each other so that their
work do not affect their time in work place or home. By the way, they can get more salary by
working overtime in order to support their and adding money to save as for the future.
According to Shazanaza ( 2013 ), the time for family is unlimited because in foreign country,
they allow flexible working hours to be divided. This able the workers to balance their life
between work time and family time. Plus, they can have enough time to rest and spend full
time with family in labour day. So, by working in foreign in foreign countries the balance life
between working time and family are more meaningful.
To improve financial status, the infrastructure in high technology and balancing life
between working time and family are the reasons for the Malaysian professionals prefer
working in foreign country rather than serving in their own country. They prefer to work in
the foreign country because they can improve their financial status. Malaysia government
must give the salary and job opportunity depends on their skilled level and their
professionals. Besides, Malaysia need to improve the infrastructure technology. This is
because, many of the country use the advances technology than Malaysia. When Malaysia
improve the technology, Malaysian professional will stay in Malaysia because they can work
easily and use the efficient system in their work. Malaysian people do not have a balance life
time. It is because they use more time for working. In the foreign countries, they have a
balance life time between working time and family time. The employer need to give a
balance life time for their worker.
