Airway management:
Pulse oximetry and end tidal CO2 measurements
A patient who is cool with tachy is considered to be in shock until proven otherwise
Neurogenic shock is hypotension without tachycardia or cutaneous vasoconstriction.
Get an AP chest and pelvic xray for any patient with multisystem blunt trauma.
CHAPTER 6
A CT scan should be ordered if GCS has not been reached within 2 hours after head
injury.
Give phenytoin 1g IV no faster than 50mg/min after head injury to prevent seizures in the
first week!
