Pre-stage installation (to attach your RODC to DC1)

First go to RDC for other branch that have done pre stage before on your district branches

2. Go to Administrative tools Active directory users and computers(will displays default local domains) click on domain
controllers(when you click domain controllers you will see all RODC that are attached on DC1 and ALL DC) right click on DC1 and
select pre-create use advanced modnext select the branch RODC(sengatera-RODC)NEXTSelect sites(sengetera sites)

2. Give Static IP address, Subnet Mask&DNS server to the RODC (eg.

Default Gateway=10.48.140.1
Preferred DNS server=10.1.11.13
Alternative DNS server=10.1.11.16
3. Install Active Directory(Administrative toolsServer ManagerAdd rolesselect active directory option from the list of

Steps for Installing the Image file on client Computers
1.

First label all the client and server computers with the form BRANCHNAME-S01 (I.e. GONDERMAIN-S01)

2. Unplug the network cable before restarting

3. For DELL 790 from BIOS change to AHCI mode
4. Then change the boot sequence to boot from the CD ROM
5. Insert the Boot CD and boot from the CloneZilla CD and when it starts

6. Then Plug the External Hard Disk that has the image file of all types of client computer models
7. Follow the default settings from the boot CD
8. Only change/ select the following:

The step to change the source of the image file i.e. the External Hard disk

Restore backup - to import the image file

Finally select Power off - to automatically eject the external hard disk and restart the computer

9. Run the sysprep command from the run menu to change the SID and select the check box of generalize
10. Change the computer name as per the label printed on it and provide a password for all computers in the form &Branchname123$ (I.e.
&Gondermain123$)
11. Open the registry editor

To take image select save backup

To Disable only Flash Disk (especially on Office PC) , open HKLM/SYSTEM/CURRENT CONTROL SET/SERVICE/USB STOR/START and
change the value from 4 to 3
CHECK LISTS FOR ADDS CONFIGURATION
1.

Before do anything labeled your computer like Branch-S01 and gives your BRANCH-RODC that you configure for RODC PC.

2. Demote the previous ADDS and DHCP on the application server

3. When you format your PC remove from network connection
4. Install run up calculator
5. Install Western union and bole Atlantic for all client PC

6. Copy TNS and new printer files

7. Take back up for coupon management
8. Install your printer on your PC
9. Copy new Ticket Writer run and rename the heard as your branch
10. Delete Test and images users on your client PC
11. When you are share your printer dont tick print directly to the printer on printer propertiesadvanced
12. Check for pre stage installation to attach RODC and DC1
13. Configure outlook on manager and CSM PC to access the cbe e-mail
14. Exclude RODC IP address just right click on address pool and select new exclusion
15. Join your client PC to the domain cbe.com.et
16. Add sites on your RODC go to active directory sites and service
17. Check your client PC if it existed on a local domain computer if it is move to your branch domain or create before you join your
computer name on branch name.
18. Configure the IP address of client computers(using ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew and restart the computer
19. Install coupon management system, bond management system, and change the IP address of the link
20. Install content management system on manager PC
21. Define Proxy Setting and add Foreign Money Transfer Link for Dhabshill & Xpress Money to the Profile
22. Create leave management password on office PC username(admin) password (CBE@123)
