Nowadays, we know two kinds of medicine. The first kind is the medicine that often
prescribed by some doctors. We called this kind of medicine as modern medicine. We often
consume it in form of tablet, capsule, syrup, and etc. The second kind is the medicine that often
made from many spices and herbs. We called this kind of medicine as traditional medicine. People
usually consume it in the form of liquid, pill, decoct, or powder. The using of these two kinds of
medicine has been known for several decades; nevertheless each of them actually has its own good
and bad side for human.
Modern medicine and traditional medicine have their own good and bad effects for
human body. Modern medicine healing effect is faster than traditional medicine, but if it is used
for a long time, it can accumulate in human organs, and it even can cause damage for several
organs. We can say that modern medicine is not a choice for long time therapy due to its negative
effects. In the other side, traditional medicine takes more time to give its healing effect, but it
doesnt cause any negative effects for long time using. Thats why people prefer traditional
medicine to cure chronic diseases that need long time therapy, such as diabetes and cancer.
The development of traditional medicine and modern medicine has been growing
simultaneously until now. People have known about their good and bad effects, so they keep
researching to find the best therapy method that combine both of them. Most doctors and
pharmacists have conducted several experiments that involved these medicines. These
experiments are used to explore more characteristics and more effects of both the traditional and
modern medicine. Others important aspects, such as the therapy doses, side effects, and the safety
of the medicines are also researched carefully.
