The campuses of Katrinas School of Hair & Beauty have a dedicated and highly trained team of staff that
devote their time ensuring your training is inspiring, stimulating and creative.
We facilitate a fun and nurturing environment which encourages self confidence in our students. We ensure
you get the tuition and on-going supervision you need while studying. We take very seriously the investment
you have made in your study and aim to provide a course program that exceeds what is expected.
Practical skills
We place particular focus on training our students
thoroughly in their practical skills. Practical skills are
taught through demonstration and step by step learning.
Beauty Students will first begin performing treatments on
your classmates and then progress to working on clients
in the student salon. Hairdressing students will first begin
performing services on head blocks and then classmates
and finally progress to working on clients.
Theory
For each practical skill you learn there is extensive
theory that must be covered to ensure you can perform
treatments safely and efficiently. We make our theory
classes as interesting and interactive as possible. Theory
lessons usually involve weekly homework and revision
quizzes.

HAIRDRESSING STUDENTS
We
provide
hairdressing
qualifications as full time study
or VET options. You will need
to contact the school for full
details.
Full Time
Our full time course involves
attending four days per week.
Full time study provides students
with
valuable
face-to-face
training. We believe this is the
optimum way to learn Hairdressing as students are able
to receive more supervision while refining their skills,
are able to access the schools resources and can build
supportive relationships with other students studying with
them. Most students find they are also able to commit to
a part-time job on the days they do not attend the course,
allowing them to finance their studies.
Vocational Education & Training (VET) Study while
at high school
We offer a variety of courses as VET study. This is an
exciting introduction into Hairdressing and includes skills
in communication, grooming and personal care. (Refer to
page 12).
