reading and stumbling through chapters and chapters of
boring modules with text books, being your only teacher.
Not many people learn like that. So we created something
completely different and unlike anything else around.

Assessment
All students will be assessed using national assessment principles.
All assessment processes will be valid, reliable, flexible and fair. For
some test or exams students may refer to reference material during
tests/exams as the emphasis is on accessing and applying the correct
information, rather than memorising it. Students will have access to their
assessment records and results upon request.
Code of Practice
Katrinas School of Hair & Beauty is committed to high standards in
provision of training and other services. Our Code of Practice describes
the minimum standards of our student services. All personnel will have
knowledge of the Code of Practice and abide by its provisions. We also
provide students with a student code of practice which outlines school
expectations in their orientation manuals.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy
The school provides students with advice and support services in the
provision of language, literacy and numeracy (LL&N) assessment
services. Where necessary, arrangements will be made for students
requiring Literacy and/or Numeracy support. This will be out-sourced to
the relevant qualified experts. Any fees incurred are the responsibility of
the student.
Recognition of Qualifications issued by another RTO
Katrinas School of Hair & Beauty recognises qualifications issued by other
Registered Training Organisations. If students want to have qualifications
recognised, they will need to submit certified copies of their certificates
and transcripts to the school prior to enrolment.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Recognition of Current

Competencies (RCC)
Students who have completed appropriate training or who through prior
learning and experience have gained the required skills/competencies
stipulated for the modules of the course may be granted credit upon
substantiation of that claim. If a student wishes to apply for RPL/RCC
then they must obtain an RPL/RCC form and complete it with their
enrolment form and lodge it together. There is a fee for this process.
Refunds
Katrinas School of Hair & Beauty offers a fair and flexible refund policy.
Student refunds are considered on a case by case basis. It is the students
responsibility to make sure relevant documentation is completed and
forwarded to the administration officer within the time frame required for
each circumstance. There are no refunds issued after the commencement
of a course. Students who begin courses are liable for the full amount of
the course once the course commences. Any contractual payment plans
must be honoured.
Welfare and Guidance, Appeals and Student Counselling
Katrinas School of Hair & Beauty has student welfare and guidance
services relevant to our training products.
The orientation on the first day of class outlines student services available.
Any student who may suffer trauma or extreme matter outside of our
expertise or control, we will make every attempt to refer the student to
the relevant agency or expert.
