Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible on checking materials to be used in the fabrication shop.

To check the internal cleaning of the pipes before fit-up.
Raising, replying and closing of RFIs
To grind and do applicable NDT if found any defects on the base metals.
To check the fit-up before welding for root gap, root face and bevel preparation as per the
WPS.
Responsible for actual measurement of all fabricated piping spool
Responsible on checking materials to be used in the fabrication shop.
Check material traceability inspection by confirming heat numbers of each pieces and
fittings as noted on Material Traceability Record (MTR).
Responsible to review and confirm as-built drawings for all fabricated pipes and tanks,
and submit as-built to engineering for documentation.
Responsible As built drawing (Piping) as per change design/revision line
Responsible for all piping and mechanical installation as per equipment installation check
lists and in accordance to project standard and specification
Responsible to counter check drawing / designed plans before fabrication.
Checking dimensions of materials to ensure that they are in compliance with requirement
on thickness of plates/pipes.
Checking the Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Record (QR) in accordance with,
ASME Sections and to fulfill the requirements of Client Job Specifications.
To carry out the documentation part for all the Inspection with the results and remarks.

Identification of material according to isometric drawings and corresponding bill of

Supervising mechanical completion stage including punch list of piping/Tanks system,
hydrostatic testing, reinstatement and commissioning of piping system
Co-ordination with civil engineering department for foundation handover for erection of
equipments.

Responsibility for monitoring piping construction and fabrication activities insuring

quality and taking necessary actions to maintain satisfactory standards.

Supervision of piping fabrication, erection, welding, punch listing and hydrotesting activities.

Checking whether the fabricated line matches the requirements and comparing it with
P & ID
The ways in which fittings elbows and valves are fitted in the line are checked according
to isometrics drawing

drawings for support requirements like directions of movements of the line drawing
