Just writting to let you know that I've been fired as the SC&O
forum mod and won't be able to help develop it further. What
Happened? Funny, I too would like to know.

As you can see from the surprising e-mail below, Ernie threw
me out today like yesterday's garbage without explanation,
after years of tireless work to help improve the site, because
the Moderators at Large felt that I was doing to much on my
own and wasn't being enough of a team player. more
specifically it is about me wanting to apporach the whole
MINIdriver debacle in the open while they were inisiting that
the forumers were not owed any explanations. The crazy
part is that even though in the end the approach took
worked out well, I got the boot anyway.

Funny Huh? I never thought I'd live to see the day in which I
would get penalized for doing a good job, but there you have
it. The funniest part is that just the day before I had asked
Ernie why some of the Moderators at Large were always so
short with me and what I could do to fix things with them.
Instead of a reply on that, I got this.

Life is funny some times isn't it? To say that I don't feel
betrayed and deeply hurt by people I thought to be friends
and colleagues, would be a lie.

ernie and let them know their displeasure (assuming they'd

IMHO, The loss of a respected moderator of Istmus's

seniority and stature without so much as an explanation
reflects badly on this forum and the people who run it. Many
of us look upon Gabe as guiding light in the field of horology,
and our little world just got lot dimmer with him gone.
