About Australia Skill select


immigration regime
Australia Skill select is a major tool that has made elementary changes in
the functioning of skilled immigration regime. We can justifiably term
implementation of this new platform as overhaul of complete skilled
migration system. Implemented on July 01 2012, it strives to completely
change the way the Australian authorities look for immigrants. This new
and ambitious immigration initiative is Aussie Labor pool demand centric
and would help the authorities effectively address structural deficiencies
(based on Skilled Occupation List) in countrys labor market to a great
extent. Immigration authorities would now also be to control the influx of
the professionals and trained workers, through skilled immigration route, as
per the needs and demands of states, government agencies, domestic
industries and sectors. It would also help the states and regions to locate
qualified people with suitable profiles for nominations and settlement in
regional parts of the country.

How Australia Skill Select immigration regime works


Skill select is a platform for skilled immigrants that will function similarly to a
pre-stored database of the talent and skills. An Expression of Interest (EOI)
document will play pivotal role in the functioning of this system. This
document will be created free of charge by the aspiring immigrants for
skilled migration based on the nominated skills in skilled occupation list
(SOL) or business investment in form of a profile that will be stored on the
skill select platform for a period of 2 years.
There will be certain preliminaries that will have to be completed before a
candidate creates a profile in the EOI pool:

Getting his skills assessed from the designated evaluation agency

Proving English linguistic skills through appropriate language test as


IELTS.

The profile created will be stored on this system for a period of 2 years or till
the applicant receives and invitation to file application for visa. The
application will lapse if the applicant is not chosen within 2 years of the
filing of the EOI application.
The immigration agencies, employers and the regional governments will
be able access the database of the applicants opting for employer
sponsored visa and state nomination. Those selected can file for
immigration application.

The independent skilled migration will rely on the point based evaluation of
a profile and qualified profiles securing minimum cutoff mark will be ranked
according to the marks secured by a particular profile.
Quite obviously, highest ranked profiles filed in the EOI pool - will get more
attention and priority in the invitation process. After each round of the
invitation process a new minimum cut-off mark will be hence announced
for the convenience of the applicants and new invitations sent
accordingly. One of the major advantages expected of this system is
substantially reducing the processing times of an application, which will
help the Department of Immigration and citizenship to weed out

Skilled Independent (Sub-Class 189) Visa

Skilled Nominated (Sub-class 190) visa


Skilled Nominated (sub-class 190) visa is for the aspirants sponsored by a
state/province of Australia. The first step to avail such a visa is to create a profile
on skill select platform through expression of interest EOI. The EOI will be
created in accordance with the availability of the trade in skilled occupation list
SOL. This category relies on nomination by an Australian state for a particular
trade. You can file EOI application with valid and positive skills assessment and
required IELTS score.

Skilled Nominated or sponsored (Provisional) (Subclass 489) visa


Nominated or Sponsored (provisional) (Sub-Class 489) Visa is a temporary entry
permission that is available on endorsement of your candidature either by a
provincial/state authority or by a qualified relative defined and deemed as
eligible for sponsorship. Proceedings for this visa are initiated by creation of a
profile by way of expression Of Interest EOI on skill select platform. EOI can be
created for an occupation indicated in skilled occupation list SOL. EOI must also
indicate you preference of state you wish to be nominated by or details of

and for migrant workers already residing in Australia on temporary visa. This

Visas
Under the system for selection of candidate under Canada FSW program,
applicable till 31st December 2014 the applications are accepted based
on a specified selection criterion and occupation list of select occupations.
Those qualified are accepted on First-in-the-queue basis. As per the
announcement by citizenship and Immigration, Canada, the selection
criteria for skilled professionals, tradespersons and applicants meeting
requirements of Canadian Experience Class will change from 1st January
2015.

Summary of new selection criteria- Canada


Express Entry Program:
1. A new point system will become applicable under the program.
2. The quota of Skilled Immigrants that Canadian Government permits will be
processed more speedily, with draws on a regular basis from the Express
Entry pool. Those familiar with the process know that quota for skilled
professionals applications under Federal Skilled program is always limited
and hence sooner one gets into the pool, better will be chances to get
selected before quota starts getting filled up.
3. One can lodge an application in the pool, even where one DOES NOT have a
confirmed job offer from a Canadian employer. Our view is that confirmed
job offers for candidates and applicants, not physically present in Canada are
hard to come by for many reasons. The majority of applications under the
Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program are likely to be filed in the Express
Entry pool without job offers, and hence, everybody will continue to have a
chance to become a Canadian permanent resident. Quality profiles will get
preference and those higher in ranking in the pool will stand a better chance
of getting an invite from Citizenship and Immigration, Canada.
4. One can also look at work experience during last 10 years.
5. Every occupation appearing in O, A and B NOC (National Occupational
Classification) category may be able to get into the Express Entry pool. To

There is NO indication of any minimum point criteria required to


lodge applications in the pool. So that is great news! Having said that
higher the ranking, more are the chances of one getting selected
from the pool and getting invited to apply for Canada Permanent
Residence Visa. To know how to get a higher ranking in the pool,

Unmarried, as well as married, candidates can apply. If married,
spousal credentials will be of great help! If unmarried, no reason to
lose hope, as you will be credited with higher points.
The younger the better, with those up to 29 years of age getting
maximum benefit, while those older need note lose hope as they
can compensate for loss of age points by scoring high IELTS score
and against higher educational qualifications as also, where possible
getting a job offer from a Canadian Employer.
Better IELTS score and higher educational qualifications and improve
your place in the Express Entry pool rankings! To claim spousal points,
the spouse MUST undergo WES (Educational credential assessment),
as well as IELTS test requirement.
Prospects are also bright for candidates who have Canadian
experience and / or Canadian Qualifications, even without any
CURRENT confirmed job offer from Canada.
At this stage, it seems there are NO points for blood relations in
Canada under the Express Entry program.
There will be draws on regular basis from the express entry pool - with
resumes securing higher ranking being picked up FIRST.
Prospects are brightest with those who indeed end up getting job
offers from Canada but starting point for that is getting your
application into the Express Entry Pool and getting your profile posted
in Canadian Job Bank.

The new quota for skilled professionals under the express entry program starts 1st
January 2015 and so there is EVERY reason for you to sign up with ABHINAV

spouses to get WES and IELTS scores and there is limited quota for federal skilled

Canada Express Entry Program: Selection

As stated already having a confirmed job offer is not a compulsory requirement to
be eligible to be qualified under the express entry program. Where applicable,
following is the process and procedure.

After your application has been put into the pool and resume posted in Canadian it
can be assessed by the Canadian employers and provinces will have access to a
database pool of professionals and trades person Under the Express Entry
Electronic system. After shortlisting the candidates, the employers will approach
Department of Employment and Social Development, Government of Canada and
apply for Labor Market Impact assessment. Such an assessment indicates that the
employer tried to look for similar profiles within Canada but was not successful. He
is therefore permitted to make an offer to a professional or trades person or a
candidate qualifying under Canadian Experience class whose profile is listed in the
pool of Candidates under express entry on-line system or is in the Canadas job
bank. Armed with such an offer, the candidate can claim additional points while
lodging his application under the express entry pool and will be placed higher in
rankings in the pool. They will have better chance of getting immediately selected
in draws because of higher ranking and can expect an invite from Citizenship and
Immigration Canada (CIC) to file an application for permanent residence visa to
Canada, as also faster processing.

Canada Express Entry Program: Steps by

Candidates meet the minimum documentation requirements such as


getting educational credentials done and undergoing IELTS test and gets
other critical documents ready. Where married, both these requirements
must be met for spouse as well. Our team will be pleased to guide you on
critical documents area once you have signed as our client.
Candidate files an on-line express entry form and will be asked to provide
information related to his qualifications, experience, occupation, Language
skills, Canadian Education, Canadian Experience, Spousal language skills, job
offer etc.
He will be asked to indicate which of the economic class migrant programs
he is making the application under Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian
Experience Class, Canada Foreign Tradesperson class.
The applicants will then file their profile into the Canadian job bank.
The electronic system will then rank the pool of applications and conduct
draws from such filed applications. Higher the candidate appears in the
rank, better are the chances for him to get an invite for filing a Canada PR
application.
Applications that are not chosen from the pool for one year are likely to be
removed after a year and candidate will have to try his luck again.
Applicants chosen from the draw will be invited to file an application for
permanent residence visa with CIC. This application must be filed within 60
days of receipt of invite failing which invite will be withdrawn. So is it
critically ready to be ready with complete file and all required critical
documents at all times.
Application will be filed with CIO, Nova Scotia with required fee. Rest of the
process including background check and medical formalities are likely to be
conducted at Local Canadian consulate.
Finally, the candidate will be asked to submit right of landing fee and
passports for stamping.

Canada Provincial Nominee


The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is another option for Canadian
migration. If an applicant has already decided where he would like to
reside in Canada, he can apply under this program. The PNP is specific to
each and every province in the country with the states having autonomy
over its guidelines. Under this program, applicants with relevant work
experience, skills and academic qualifications are nominated by the
particular Provincial governments to contribute to its economy. These
immigrants would be granted the status of Permanent Residents of that
particular province. However, in majority of PNPs, the applicant may be
required to have a job offer from a provincial employer to become eligible
for nomination by the province and apply for permanent resident visa
thereafter. Of late some of the provinces (like Nova Scotia and
Saskatchewan) have started coming out with programs where skilled
professionals without job offers can file applications as well. For those
intending to settle in the province of Quebec, a separate application has
to be filed and a Quebec Selection Certificate has to be obtained from
the Quebec government.

Quebec Immigrant Investor Program


The province of Quebec in Canada has its own set of policies as per the
Canada Quebec Accord. In order to apply, the applicant should have
had at least 2 years of previous experience out of the last 5 years in
managing in any form of business. The staff in his business should occupy at
least 2 fulltime employment positions. The investor must have minimum net
assets of C$ 1600,000, acquired lawfully. He must invest an amount of C$
800,000 and sign an agreement with a financial intermediary which is
government recognized. This investment is for the duration of 5 years. Post
investment, the applicant must acquire a Quebec Selection Certificate
without which his application would not be processed further. It is not
mandatory for the applicant to have good French and English language
skills. Factors such as age and education are of little relevance under this
program as well. With this, the applicant is not obliged to participate in any
form of active business or seek an employment. Thus, the immigrant has the
advantage to even spend the rest of his life in retirement post immigration
or live on passive investment. If the candidate qualifies, he would be
granted an unconditional Permanent Residence. Post landing, this visa has
no conditions attached for the principal applicant or his family.

The Quality Migrant Admission Scheme is an entrant scheme for Hong Kong, which

Denmark Green Card


Denmark Green Card is a multiple entry Residence permit initially issued for 3 years
and then extended on various terms; one can apply for residency after 8 years and
citizenship after 10 years.
