The API rotor repair course, based on API standard 687

covers the minimum requirements for the inspection and
repair of rotating equipment rotors, bearings, and couplings used in the petroleum, chemical and gas industry
services.

Course Objectives

n Day 1:
n Inspection, repair and manufacturing of used and new
rotors for centrifugal, axial and screw type compressors, steam turbines, gearing, and hot gas expanders
n Inspection, repair and manufacturing of used of new
fluid film bearings, and couplings
n Inspection, repair and manufacturing of used and new
special purpose gearing

The course aims at training the participants on the different rotor repair according to API 687 including some
major rotor equipment. The course will be dealt with the
inspection items and the associated procedures in practical cases and performing some repair items associated
with the major equipment.

He is working in the operation, maintenance of heat exchangers, valves and control valves. He has a very good
experience in the maintenance/ planning of rotating and
static equipment of oil/gas and companies. He is capable
to manage and direct force employed and dedicated to
quality. He has excellent skills in instructions of technical
automotive safety training courses and approved training
by BP Company for the advanced defensive driving safety
course & handling & lifting operations. Heat exchangers,
control valves and associated systems are one of the major concerns. Also has an excellent skill in instructions of
technical maintenance engineering training courses and
approved training by OGS Company for the assessment
and advanced mechanical maintenance training courses
(diesel & gas engines & heat exchangers). He has the opportunity to participate in reviewing design, construction,
commissioning and start up of the offshore and onshore
facilities in Egypt at Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company
(GUPCO), Suez oil Company (SUCO); Khalda Petroleum
Company (KPC); and North of Sinai Petroleum Company
(NOSPCO ). He has a good counseling and coaching
skills.
