Overview
Along with the large-scale commercialization of GU network, more and more 3G users
access the network, which causes the network load to increase gradually and the
network indicators to deteriorate.
This Guide introduces the instructions on load monitoring of CC board under the SDR
base stations. It is made up of three aspects: load monitoring & capacity expansion
standards, capacity expansion data processing tool, and tool application instructions.

2) If the conditions [Ratio of Average CPU Usage (%)>=80% and Ratio of Maximum CPU
Usage (%)>=90%] are satisfied or two or more times, board capacity expansion should be
considered.
3) If the conditions [Ratio of Average CPU Usage (%)>=75% and Ratio of Maximum CPU
Usage (%)>=85%] are satisfied for two or more times, the site should be put under key
monitoring.

Entering Data
Input the location of the counter (of the data to be inputted) on EMS, as shown in Figure
2 -2.
Export the data of 7*24 hours as the data to be inputted. The data comes in a
large amount. If the number of sites in one RNC is large, it is recommended that data of
different periods be exported separately. The tool supports processing of multiple files.
2.3.3
Executing Program
Open the tool Expansion Tool for NodeB CC V1.0.
1.
We can adjust the thresholds according to the responses from different customers.
2.
It takes more time to process the large-sized files. Therefore, it is better to process
the data of different RNCs separately.
As shown in Figure 2 -3, click the START button circled in the orange frame.
And then select the data of one RNC, as shown in Figure 2 -4. We can select multiple
files and click Open; the program will start to run automatically.
When the data processing is completed, the following interface pops up, as shown in
Figure 2 -5. If it is not the following interface but a debugging interface that pops up,
please check the inputted data. Based on previous experience, the problem is usually
caused by data input errors.
2.3.4
Output
The processing result is saved in two sheets. Sheet1 contains the source data of the
processing result; sheet2 contains the processing result. For example, Table 2-2 shows
the processing result sheet2 of HongKong CSL RNC206.

Monitoring
Save the data processing result. It is saved under the directory where the tool is located
by default, as shown in Figure 2 -6.
