Lesson 13 Ablative expressing place from which

Expressing movement and placement is a very important in communication, so much so that many languages have
different cases to express different kinds of movement and placement. In addition, people use prepositions to
express this phenomenon.
We have already seen the use of ad with the accusative and in with the ablative and the accusative. We have also
studied the ablative of means, which builds the preposition into the word BY MEANS OF and ablative ending.
Consider the following:
, ab = away from the outside (think away or ab-way)
D = down from, from (think de-own from)
, ex = out from the inside, out of (think ex-it)
Remember: a is usually used before a consonant; ab before a vowel.
e is usually used before a consonant; ex before a vowel.
Toga Stup
NOW Meet Stoopey. Stoopey is a small and great bunny.
Stupus est magnus et parvus lepus Romanus. Stupus est fortis et pugnat in Colise Romae
Stupus ambulat silv in casam.

Stupus ambulat d silv alt in casam.

Stupus ambulat cas ad Coliseum Romae
