Activities :
1. 1. Teacher shows a lyric of I am Tap
2. Teacher sings the song I am Tap with
the tune of This Old Man and pupils
sing along.
3. Sing again using the names of other
pupils(refer the textbook page 5).
Teacher draws the pupils attention to
the initial phonemes of pupils names
that start with s ,a ,t and p.
4. Teacher asks the pupils to sit in a circle
then she introduces herself. She
emphasizes on the phrase Hello, I
am______.
5. Teacher rolls the ball to the pupils. She
helps the pupils to introduce
themselves by saying, hello, I
am...
6. Pupils take turn introduce themselves

Instructions of the games:
The pupils have to jump on the first
box and pronounce the sound and give
an example of a word that starts with
that sound correctly. If they cant
pronounce the sound or give the word
correctly, they cant proceed to the
next box.
(g) The activity is repeated with other

phonemes.
(h) Teacher and pupils sum up todays
lesson.
