ABSTRAK

Stres merupakan salah satu masalah psikologis yang paling umum dihadapi
oleh perawat. The National Association of Safety Professionals melaporkan bahwa,
perawat menempati urutan teratas dari 40 kasus stres kerja pada pekerja. Stressor
dari stres kerja tidak hanya disebabkan oleh tekanan yang dialami saat bekerja,
namun dapat berasal dari luar pekerjaan dan dalam diri sendiri, salah satunya adalah
kepribadian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kepribadian
tipe A dan tipe B dngan stres kerja pada perawat pelaksana di Gedung Kemuning
RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung.
Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasional, dengan pengambilan
sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling pada 111 perawat pelaksana, Alat
ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Occupational Stress Inventory
Revised Edition (OSI-R) yaitu Personal Strain Questionnaire (PSQ), yang
berisi 40 pernyataan dan kuisioner Behavior Activity Profile Personality TypeA
measure of personality developed yang berisi 21 pernyataan. Analisis data
menggunakan mean score dan uji korelasi menggunakan chi-square dengan taraf
signifikan <0.05.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat 67 perawat pelaksana yang
memiliki kepribadian tipe A dan 44 perawat dengan kepribadian tipe B (60.4% ;
39.6%). Sedangkan dilihat dari tingkat stres kerja, terdapat 50 orang (45%) yang
mengalami stres kerja ringan dan 61 orang (55%) mengalami stres kerja sedang.
Hasil analisi korelasi lebih lanjut dari kedua variabel didapatkan bahwa p-value
sebesar 0.000. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang
signifikan antara kepribadian tipe A dan kepribadian tipe B dengan stres kerja pada
perawat pelaksana.
Saran dari penelitian ini adalah untuk diadakannya pelatihan-pelatihan khusus
yang tidak hanya bersifat teknis untuk meningkat keterampilan perawat, tetapi
diserta dengan pelatihan yang bersifat psikologis, agar RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin
tetap dapat menjadi rumah sakit rujukan di Provinsi Jawa Barat.

ABSTRACT

Stress is one of the most common psychological issues for nurses. The
National Association of Safety Professionals introduces nursing as a first stressful job
among 40 stressful professions. Stressor of occupational stress, not only due to the
pressure experienced at work, but can come from outside work and in themselves,
such as personality type A and type B. The aim of this study was to assess
relationships between personality type A and type B with occupational stress of
clinical nurses in Kemunings Unit at Dr.Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung.
This research method was descriptive correlational design . Sample in this
result, which taken by sample withdraw method of purposive sampling on 111 clinical
nurse. The measurement used in this syudy was questionnaires Occupational Stress
Inventory - Revised Edition (OSI-R) the Personal Strain Questionnaire (PSQ),
which contains 40 statements and questionnaires Behavior Activity Profile Personality Type - A measure of personality developed which contains 21 statements .
Analysis of the data using the mean score and correlation test using the chi -square
test with significance level of <0.05 .
The results of the study showed that, 67 clinical nurses with personality type
A and 44 clinical nurses with personality type B (60.4 %;39.6 %) . There were 50
people (45 %) who had low occupational stress level and 61 people (55 %) had
moderate occupational stress level. The results of further analysis of the correlation
between two variables was found that the p -value of 0.000. As the conclusion of this
research is that there were a significant relation between personality type A and type
B with occupational stress in clinical nurses.
Therefore, suggestions from this study to the institution were to provide
specialized training programs that not only to increase skills of nurses , but also
psychological training, so that Dr.Hasan Sadikin General Hospital can still be a
referral hospital in West Java province.
