3. At least a few research projects should be useful for the rural people directly.
4. Faculty are encouraged for obtaining external funding from agencies like UGC,
CSIR,DST, DRDO, ICHR, etc.
The minutes of this meeting submitted to the Honorable Correspondent, who is
very keen on these aspects.
2.

How does the college promote research?

a) Our college has two P.G courses

Yes
1.Chemistry

2.Physics

Chemistry :From this academic year we are encouraging all interesting P.G
Chemistry students to get involve in research projects.
Physics: This department is established just last year and the students are still
in 2nd semester. However, we are setting up various advanced research
experimental facilities, so that the students can take up research projects in
the III and final semester.
U.G students are encouraged to present Seminar papers and submit Project
reports
(Annexure XV)
b) The management highly encourages faculty to do research and they are
properly given study leave. Below we give the table containing details.

cadets and staff have participated in Know your blood group programme.
vii.

AIDS awareness :
On the occasion of world AIDS day 1-12-05 the NCC and NSS jointly
organized a rally in Nagaram village in order to create an awareness about the
fatal decease AIDS .As part of AIDS awareness programme sponsored by the
Telugu Daily Vartha our NSS volunteers and NCC cadets along with 800 dwakra
members have conducted a huge rally on 29th December 2005 Local M.L.A,
Principal and our correspondent have participated.

viii.

Environment awareness:
This year we have started NGC wing in our college 125 students joined in this
wing.To keep mother earth green and pollution free Vanamahotsav was
celebrated with a great sense to save earth planet from the clutches of
pollution. Students collected a variety of plants and each plant was planted in
the college campus with a oath to protect the same. NGC Unit also planted
plants for Botanical garden and actively participated in the cleaning
programme.

ix.

Any others:
Since the inception of NCC and NSS Units in our college, due to the sustained
efforts we are able to establish link roads in and around Nagaram mandal
area, which facilitated easy transport of the students and public.
