SUMMER Vacation!
Summer is meant for having fun... for both girls and parents.
Camp Four Echoes is a Girl Scout owned and operated camp located
at Lake Coeur d'Alene. Our outdoor resident camp offers waterfront
activities, hiking and amazing opportunities to explore nature. Camp
Four Echoes is the perfect summer place for girls entering grades 2-12.
Its a safe, entertaining and outrageously fun place to spend the summer.
Girls build friendships, learn new skills, create projects and get introduced
to new and exciting people, places and things.
There are many different sessions for all age groups, including:

Kreative Kids- Express your creativity through arts and


crafts. Spend the week trying different art forms. Will it be
recycled, edible or wearable? Let your imagination run wild!

Week 1: June 23-26
Glitter and Glam- Come experience the glitter and glam of Camp Four
Echoes. Make your own beauty products such as body glitter and sugar scrubs,
and of course, dont forget to add a little glitter to your arts and crafts. Join us for
the fun and add a little sparkle. It will be glitterific!

Week 2: June 28-July 2
Splish Splash- We are at the lake, so lets get wet! Swimming in the lake, paddle
boating and water balloons. End your stay at camp with a luau at Smugglers
beach. Invite other campers to join in the splish splash fun! Let the fun begin!

Smore Fun- Next to picnics and fireworks, nothing else says summertime
fun as much as campingunless its SMORES. Join around the campfire
and experiment with different toppings and try new camp desserts. It will be
stickyliscious! Fee: $215 (member)

Outdoor Chef- Have you ever imagined being a chef? How about an outdoor
chef? With tastes from around the world, try new recipes that are easy and
delicious. Fee: $265 (member)

Paws and Claws- Roll that log, lift that rock, and look under the dock. Look for
the wings, paws, fins and claws living at camp! How many can you find? Where
do they sleep at night? Explore all the critters, big and small, at Camp Four
Echoes. Fee: $315 (member)

Week 3: July 5-10
Outdoor Adventure- Just open the door and step outside. Learn fascinating
facts about nature, useful tips and tricks, and fun outdoor crafts as you explore
all that Camp Four Echoes has to offer.

Nightowls- Adjust your eyes and ears for moonlight camp adventures! Take
an evening canoe trip to the marsh and hear a symphony of night dwelling
wildlife.Venture on a midnight Cats Eye hike through camp and watch the
sunrise. Fee: $265 (member)

Crafty Campers- Imagine and create your own masterpiece! Make your own
art out of natural materials and much more. Use your imagination to craft a work
of art while making new friends.

Discover the Marsh- Do you know how far back the marsh in
Windy Bay goes? Spend a week at camp exploring the marsh by
kayak and canoe. How many species of wildlife live there? Start a
marshy mud fight with friends or just drift and daydream.

Wish Upon a Star- Star light, star bright, discover the names of the stars
you see tonight. Whats your favorite constellation? Do you know its story?
Discover a week of outer space fun, crafts and food.

Spotlights On- It is time to take the stage! Create masks, role play different
characters and play theater charades. Show off your acting ability with skits
performed in front of other campers. Dont worry, theres still plenty of time for
hiking, swimming and boating.

Dip, Dip & Swing- Gear up for a two day canoe trip! Learn how to pack a canoe,
camp out and cook in the great outdoors. Bring your sunscreen as you explore
Windy Bay and so much more.

Jump in the Lake- Are you ready for some splasherific fun? Compete in
sunken canoe races, jump in for your lunch, play slippery watermelon and create
your own water games. Learn cool water safety techniques and survival skills
while having a blast with your friends.

Feast OFun- Lets cook up a feast! Have you ever cooked


with a stick? O the fun of making the menu, gathering the
ingredients, cooking the food and best of all eating the feast!

Spectrum- Its your choice go for it! Hike, sing, cook over a campfire, stargaze,
and watch the sun rise or set. Its your week of fun filled activities, so try a little bit
of everything.

Week 2: June 28-July 2
Introduction to Sails- Ride the wind at Windy Bay. Balance on a board, rig sails
and use the wind to your advantage. Youll get to paddle board, windsurf and
sail. How cool is that?

Week 3: July 5-10
Nocturnals- Switch out day for night and dont forget your flashlight! Take
a midnight hike and go on an evening boating adventure. Enjoy a midnight
celebration, play mission impossible and watch the sunrise.

Week 4: July 12-16
Canoe the CdA- Explore Windy Bay and more! Can you make it to Harrison for
ice cream? Gear up and go on a three day canoe trip, where youll learn to pack a
canoe, set up a tent and cook in the great outdoors.

Center Stage- Have you ever wondered just how the magic of theater really
works? Select a scene from your favorite play and perform it for others. Create
your own scenery, costumes and lighting all in the outdoors!

Everything H2O- Jump into the H2O and have some fun! Spend the hot
summer days out on the water; boating, canoeing, swimming and the ultimate
diving for your lunch.

Pedals, Paddles & Perseverance- Are you ready for adventure? Enjoy the
beauty of the Northwest while you challenge yourself to bike the Hiawatha Trail,
raft the Spokane River, and hike the trails of Mt. Spokane.
Fee: $500 (member)

Week 1a: June 23- July 2
Canoe North Idaho- This will be the highlight of your summer! Review
your skills, and learn how to navigate moving water on the St. Joe River. Then
pack up and take a 3-4 day canoe trip through North Idaho. Note: Must have
intermediate-advanced canoeing/trip skills and able to paddle 4-6 hours a day.
Fee: $500 (member)

Week 3a: July 5-16
Sails in the Wind- Use what youve learned in Intro to Sailing for this 13
day camp experience. Balance on a board, rig sails and use the wind to your
advantage, as yougo paddle boarding, windsurfing and sailing.

Leadership Programs for Girls entering grades


9-12 in fall 2015 become a member for only $15
Adventures in Leadership Focus on leadership and outdoor skills that
youll need to become a camp counselor. Discover and nurture your leadership
qualities as you earn your Volunteer in Training (VIT) Award. You will have the
opportunity to shadow staff members and lead activities with younger campers.
Grades 9-12 Fee: $500 (member)

Week 1a: June 23-July 2
CIT I- Focus on skills youll need to work with children at camp. Learn the
importance of working as a team and the positions needed to run a successful
camp program. Visit another camp CIT program, shadow camp staff and learn
more about what to expect from campers. This is your opportunity to plan and
implement an all-camp activity.
Grades 10-12 Fee: $500 (member)

Week 3a: July 5-16
CIT II- Learn the ins and outs of Camp Four Echoes as you dig deeper into
leadership and creating a safe community for campers. Develop and teach a
specialty, while using the 12 Safety Standards and Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Spend a week working side-by-side with camp staff, putting what you learned
into action. Take a fun offsite trip! Prerequisite: Successful completion of CIT I
or other approved CIT program.
Grades 11-12 Fee: $500 (member)

Week 5b: July 19-August 6
Apprenticeship- After the successful completion of Camp Four Echoes CIT
Program, graduates entering the 12th grade have the opportunity to participate
in an unpaid internship at Camp Four Echoes. The staff training is scheduled
for June 12-22, 2015 and is mandatory and the length of apprenticeship to be
determined.

Troop Camping open to all registered Girl Scout troops


Each troop is required to have appropriate girl/adult ratios and trainings.
Troop Camping 1* May 29-31, 2015
Troop Camping 2* June 5-7, 2015
Fee: $25 per person
Enjoy spring camping with your troop! Troops
are responsible for most activity times and
their own food. There is an opportunity to
participate in all camp activities Saturday
afternoon, an all camp campfire Saturday
night, and a Scouts Own Sunday morning.
Check-in Friday between 5-7pm,
Checkout Sunday at 11am
*Please note that you may be sharing the unit
with another troop.
Troop Camping 3* June 26-28, 2015 Tree house unit NOT available.
Troop Camping 4* July 10-12, 2015 Tree house unit NOT available.
Troop Camping 5* July 24-26, 2015 Tree house unit NOT available.
Fee: $75 per person**
Enjoy summer troop camping at C4E! All troops will have swim time, arts and
crafts, and hiking. Meals are included.
Check-in Friday between 5-7pm, Checkout Sunday at 11am
*Please note that you may be sharing the unit with another Girl Scout troop.
**$25 non-refundable deposit per person will save your spots.

Other Outdoor Fun at Camp Four Echoes


Family Camp*
Open to all Girl Scout families. This is an alcohol and pet free event.
May 22-25, 2015
Fee: $60 per cabin (limit 6 people per cabin)
Camp Four Echoes is the perfect location to kick off the camping season. Bring a
camp stove and enough food for your family (meals not included). There will be
a scheduled hike, stargazing, and smores.
Each family must consist of at least 1 adult and 1 registered Girl Scout.
Check-in Friday night between 5pm-8pm OR Saturday morning after 8am.
Check-out Monday at 11am.
* Please note that you may be sharing units with other families.

24 Hour Experience May 29-31, 2015


Fee: $50 per girls, grades 6-12 (bring sack dinner on Friday night)

$25 per adult, must be a registered Girl Scout with current background

check on file.
The theme is a mystery (wink). You'll Arrive Friday night, get to know your fellow
campers, and get a good night sleep. Your mysterious Mad Hatter adventure
begins Saturday morning. Can you stay awake for 24 hours in this Wonderland?
This camping event is for Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Girl Scout adults
are welcome to attend.
Check-in Friday between 5-7pm, Checkout Sunday at 11am
Teen Smores
1. June 26-28, 2015, $75 per girl, grades 6-12
(swimming and Camp Four Echoes T-shirt included)
2. September 25-27, 2015, $50 per girl if registered by September 1

Join other teen Girl Scouts for overnight adventures and FUN at Camp Four
Echoes. Learn and practice quality leadership techniques for working with
younger girls. Games, grouping, songs and much more. This camping event is for
Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Most meals includedbring a sack dinner
Friday night.
Just the 2 of Us August 21-23, 2015
Fee: $60 per person
Formally Me and My Gal, this weekend is now open to your favorite adult guy or
gal. Bring them along and show them around Camp Four Echoes. Activities will
include swim time, arts & crafts, and hiking. Meals are also included.
If you cant choose which adult to invite, register for Family Camp, May 22-25,
2015. Each cabin sleeps 6, you may be sharing with other families.

WHO: Open to all girls, grades 2 -12


WHAT: GSEWNI requests that all our campers are currently registered Girl Scouts.
If you are not currently registered, please include a one-time $15 membership fee with
your camp registration. You may opt to pay a $30 non-member fee for each session if
you do not wish to register as a Girl Scout.
HOW: Register online at www.gsewni.org. If you do not have internet access, please
pick up a registration form at our office, or phone us to request that a registration form
is mailed to you. Your completed form may be dropped off in person, or mailed.
WHERE: Camp sessions are held at Camp Four Echoes, located at Windy Bay at Lake
Coeur dAlene, Worley, ID.
FEES AND REFUND POLICIES: The balance is due two weeks prior to the camp
session start date. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration.
Refunds are not available after registration deadline. Session fees are as noted
for each normal camp session. Camp fees can be paid with Cookie Dough, cash, money
order, VISA, MasterCard, or check made payable to GSEWNI.
CAMPERSHIPS: Girl Scouts strives to make camp available to all girls, regardless of a
familys economic situation. If camp is not affordable for your family, please download
a Campership Application from our web site, or request that an application be mailed
to you.
