Summary of Working experience:Presently working with Subsea Structure Pte Ltd (www.subseastructure.com) as a Welding
Engineer from June-14.

Job responsibility:1. WPS, PQR, WPQ qualification as per ASME Sec IX, AWS D1.1,DNV standards, API, ISO15614-1 and other relevant codes with approval involving with TPI like DNV, ABS and
clients.
2. Welding Inspection as per standards and Testing of welding Joints as per AWS, ASME, ISO
5817 and other customers specified requirements & Fit up inspection, Welding
Inspection Before, during & after welding e.g. Edge preparation, set up& weld root,
subsequent passes etc.
3. Customers approval for WPS weld plan, coordination with TPI with clients, third party
(DNV & others) for stage inspections and all other welding activities.
4. Development of weld map, welding QAP, Inspection Procedures, and Inspection check
List, Welding sequences, pre heating and post heating requirements.
5. Selection of welding filler metals, welding process as per material and job requirements.
6. Project review for requirements of welding filler wires, steel plates, welding manpower
hours and other relevant costing.
7. In-house training of welders and other staff who need the training in welding fields.
8. Review and verification of materials test certificates and welding consumables test
certificates.
9. Day to day troubleshooting of SMAW, MIG, TIG, SAW welding to enhance production and
to provide smooth & trouble free operation of plant utility, machine, load, handling
equipments etc.

11.Development of alternative consumables & validation of existing welding consumables

Fabrication.

Inspector since Jan-09 to Feb-10.
Worked with ISGEC YamunaNagar (www.isgec.com a heavy Engineering Unit) as a Welding
Inspector & Welding engineer since Aug-05 to Jan-09.

Project Undertaken:1. Successfully implemented Port Welding Machine for welding port on Hydraulic
Cylinders.
2. Set for welding rotator for welding circular seams job with FCAW.
3. Set up of GTAW line for welding of hydraulic cylinders and pipe lines and training of
Welders (TIG welding) during tenure with Dantal hydraulic Pvt Ltd.
4. Cost saving by effective consumable monitoring (rupees 8 lacs p.a.) during tenure with
Dantal hydraulic Pvt Ltd...
5. Started Welder qualification as per ASME Section-IX during tenure with Dantal
hydraulic Pvt Ltd.
6. Implementation of SAW for welding of Air tank during tenure with ISGEC (achieved
significant time saving and cost saving/volume).
7. Setting up in house welding training school and training plan for welders (Siemens).
8. Setting up complete in house metallographic lab for welding inspection (Siemens).
9. Reduction in rework hours for more than 50% in Bogie fabrication (Siemens).
10.Replacing the SMAW welding of 4130 steel by using FCAW high strength wire by
