It is pleasing to report the Snapper Point toilet construction is
well under way and, at the time of writing, a stone wall is
being constructed there which will surround a new, planned
play ground. Posts are being installed for the new cliff top
fence and the combined bike / walking path is heading south
towards the Morgan Street ramp.

MORE DURRrrr.
A man, wanting to rob a downtown Bank of America,
walked into the branch and wrote "this iz a stikkup. Put
all your muny in this bag." While standing in line, waiting
to give his note to the teller, he began to worry that someone had seen him write the note and might call the police
before he reached the teller's window. So he left the Bank
of America and crossed the street to Wells Fargo.
After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to
the Wells Fargo teller. She read it and, surmising from his
spelling errors that he wasn't the brightest light in the harbour. She told him that she could not accept his stick up
note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit
slip and that he would either have to fill out a Wells
Fargo deposit slip or go back to Bank of America.
Looking somewhat defeated, the man said, "OK" and left.
He was arrested a few minutes later, as he was waiting in
line back at Bank of America.
A motorist was unknowingly caught in an automated
speed trap that measured his speed using radar and photographed his car. He later received in the mail a ticket for
$40 and a photo of his car. Instead of payment, he sent
the police department a photograph of $40. Several days
later, he received a letter from the police that contained
another picture, this time of handcuffs. He immediately
mailed in his $40

RECENT TASK FORCE INVOLVEMENT.
As everyone is very aware recently Adelaide
had some pretty big fires in the Samspon / Humbug
Scrub area.
Aldinga Beach sent several crews to this fire, along
with every brigade in Adelaide. With our crews also
went our Aldinga Beach appliance - Aldinga Beach
34.
Crews were away from overnight strike teams to 4
days away at this fire.
The efforts of all volunteers was amazing. We had
amazing support from S.E.S with staging and
logistics, Salvation Army and countless people with
supplying food and beverages. M.F.S teams with
their appliances and the local farm firefighters on
their own fire fighting utes. The interstate strike
teams that came from far and wide, to help us when
Adelaide needed it the most. We had fire fighters
from Victoria and New South Wales.
At this time all of us at Aldinga Beach C.F.S would
like to take this opportunity say a very big Thank
You, to you our local community for your
overwhelming support and accolades. We were
thoroughly surprised and in awe of the way
everyone has thanked us.
The Barbecue that was hosted by Lauren from
Aldinga Beach Childrens Centre and her army of
helpers, held at Aldinga Beach station to thank
Aldinga Beach and Sellicks C.F.S crews for their
efforts in this fire was very humbling and very much
unexpected. It was a great night enjoyed by all
members and families. There was plenty of food
with entertainment for the kids with a jumping castle,
petting zoo and pony rides. This was an amazing
event to pull off in a short amount of time.

THE GETAWAY!
A man walked into a Topeka, Kansas Kwik Stop and
asked for all the money in the cash drawer. Apparently,
the take was too small, so he tied up the store clerk and
worked the counter himself for three hours until police
showed up and grabbed him.
NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHED!
In Modesto, CA, Steven Richard King was arrested for
trying to hold up a Bank of America branch without a
weapon. King used a thumb and a finger to simulate a
gun. Unfortunately, he failed to keep his hand in his
pocket. (hellooooooo)!

MID COAST
LITTLE ATHLETICS
CENTRE INC.
Mid Coast Little Athletics Centre whose athletes range in
age from Tiny Tots (3-4 years) to 17 years continues to
foster an environment for young people to develop basic
skills in running, jumping and throwing, thus providing
the basic skills for all sports. The Club also encourages
the whole family to become involved, the emphasis being
on family fun, fitness and personal improvement, allowing children to strive to achieve their best, regardless of
ability.
The 2014-15 season has started very well for us thanks
to Aldinga Beach Community Bank, Branch of Bendigo
Bank who have come on board as our Major Sponsor
and have purchased for our Centre a fantastic senior
high jump mat at a cost of over $7,000, said Darren
Grigg, Centre President. For the third year in a row, we
have welcomed unprecedented growth. With 171 athletes
taking part at our second meet of the season, this financial support has come at an excellent time and we are
very grateful to the community support that the Aldinga
Beach Community Bank is providing to local youth. We
are also extremely thankful to our silver and bronze sponsors, Clelands Veal Wholesale Butchers, McLaren Vale
Bakery, The Carob Kitchen and The Running Company
Adelaide.

How will the Medicare changes affect YOU at Rhylyn Medical Services?
Our priority is to provide the best possible health care for our patients. We
aim to continue to provide the same care with no real change to you. We
will have some internal changes to make and some changes to the way we
manage our appointment system. But you will continue to receive the
same careful attention that you always have. Probably the most important
thing you need to know at the moment is that, at this time, there will be no
change to the way you are currently billed. Sadly, with further Medicare
amendments to be imposed on General Practices by Government later in
the year, there will need to be some change but we will let you know about
that in good time.
