PROFIBUS
The R200P and R500P modules facilitate the connection
of a CL200 and/or CL400 and CL500, respectively, to a
PROFIBUS-FMS network. The modules are compatible
with the requirements of DIN EN 50170.
PROFIBUS-DP
PROFIBUS-DP comprises a PROFIBUS version that is
optimized for application with sensors, transducers and
control elements. With COMNET-DP, Bosch has implemented the standardization of the PROFIBUS-DP for
all Bosch-proprietary control units. The COMNET-DP
specifications are based upon the DIN EN 50170 standard.
AS-I
AS-I (Actuator Sensor Interface) is a new form of technology that provides the connection of sensors, transducers
and control elements to a PLC. This eliminates the conventional parallel cabling of each individual input / output,
replacing this method with a standard two-wire line with
tree topology.
Both the BM2-ASI and BM4-ASI modules provide a bus
master connnection for the CL200, CL300, CL350, CL400,
CL500 and IAT control units.

Warranty
2.1 Bosch warrants that the supplied data carrier is free
of material and manufacturing faults, that the software was properly duplicated, and that the software
is executable on the fault-free hardware specified in
the product description in normal operating circumstances and with standard system maintanence, and
with standard handling and storage of the data
carriers. The performance under this warranty shall
be restricted to replacement subsequent to the return of the initially supplied data carrier and the accompanying documentation.
2.2 Bosch shall not be liable for the fault-free operation of
the software in all instances of application and in all
combinations.
2.3 The warranty period shall be 6 months, commencing
with the date of delivery to the customer.
2.4 In the event that the subsequent fault correction or
software replacement remains unsuccessful after
several attempts, the customer shall be entitled to
demand a pro-rata reduction of the purchase price or
the recission of the contract.
2.5 Consequential damages, and in particular claims for
damages that did not occur on the software proper,
such as loss or faulty processing of data, shall be excluded. The responsibility for the proper selection
and the consequences of the use of the software,
and of the results intended or achieved with said software, shall be borne by the customer.
3
Liability
Bosch shall assume a liability only to the extent to
which it is expressly stated in the present Software
Utilization Agreement. Bosch shall not be liable for
claims with regard to liabilities entered into in conjunction with the making of the contract, from positive
breach of claim or liabilities extraneous to the contract, unless deliberate intent or gross negligence
can be proved. Bosch shall be exempt from liability
for indirect damages, such as loss of production and
loss of profits. Any liability under the terms of the
Product Liability Law shall remain unaffected.
Introduction
5
Termination
5.1 The rights to the use of the software shall be automatically terminated without requiring notice of termination in the event that the customer is in breach of
an essential clause of this Agreement.
5.2 Upon termination of the Agreement, the customer
shall be obligated to return or destroy all originals, reproductions (copies) and partial copies of the licensed software and the associated documentation,
and to confirm in writing the manner of disposal.
6
Confidentiality
The custer shall hold confidential from third parties all
software, documentation, and all information received from Bosch, and shall so persist beyond the
term of the Agreement, as long as the referred information is not generally known by other means, or
Bosch has waived in written form the confidentiality
stipulation.
7

damaged by the customer, Bosch shall replace it for
a separate compensation, unless Bosch has released a new version of said software.
7.2 Side agreements to, and modifications of, the present Agreement including this Article 7.2 shall require written form.
7.3 In the event that one stipulation of this Agreement is
ineffective, the remaining clauses shall remain in
force. The partners to the Agreement shall replace
the ineffective stipulation with an effective one that
comes as close as economically possible to the stipulation deemed ineffective.
7.4 This Agreement shall be governed by the Law of the
Federal Republic of Germany. The place of performance and jurisdiction for both parties shall be the City
of Stuttgart, Germany.

power and data to the signalling devices and control elements.
The BM2-ASI Bus Master Module handles the following
tasks:
D Cyclical data interchange between bus station and central processing unit
D Network initialization
D Parameter assignment to bus stations
D Data transmission diagnostics
D Addressing of substituted bus stations

The CC10.3 is available as a one-axis or three-axes control module. It is possible to use several parallel CC10.3
modules for multi-axis machines.
The axis positions are implemented with 0.001 to 0.01 mm
accuracy. Positioning is carried out in positioning control,
i.e., in the closed control loop with constant control of the
position. The dynamic response of the motions can be
adapted to the machine droop by altering the acceleration
and brake parameters accordingly.

When processing analog signals from the process peripherals, it is often necessary to detect resistance values from
the sensors. These sensors are strain guages or resistance thermometers, for example. A very accurate stabilized-power source is required in order to convert the resistance values into proportional current.

stabilized-power sources. Each stabilized-power source
supplies 2.5 mA.

13.1 PLC Program Structure
Due to their modular construction, Bosch control units provide the user with the opportunity to divide the controller
program into function-specific blocks. The controller program can be structurally configured to suit the system or
machine structure. Various types of modules are available
for this purpose:
D Organization modules
D Program modules
D Data modules
The application program can be processed in terms of
cycle, interrupt and time control.
In addition, the PLC program can also be divided into two
parts for the CL400, comprising one part with standard
program modules (e.g. MADAP or Robot Control) and the
other replacable part with system-specific program modules. Both parts can be loaded independently of each other
into the control unit.

14.2 BT-MADAP
BT-MADAP is an updated version of the MADAP500. An
important feature when changing from MADAP500 to BTMADAP is the compatibility of the control functions (process sequences) for the CL400 and CL500 Control Units.
BT-MADAP can be used in the CL200, CL350, CL400 and
CL500 Control Units.
BT-MADAP provides the following functions:
Control
Operation
Diagnostics
The control function, which features manual, inching and
automatic operating modes, is responsible for the entire
sequence management of up to 60 sequences each with a
maximum of 128 steps.
The BT5 or BT20 Control Panel is connected directly to the
central processing unit of the PLC. A diagnostics module is
no longer required. Using the control panel, the user is able
to directly access all data in the central processing unit.
