The compression options in Microsoft Office Picture Manager reduce both file
size and picture dimensions based on how you intend to use the picture,
such as in Web pages or e-mail messages.
1.
a.
Make sure the folders that contain the pictures you want to work
with are displayed in the Picture Shortcuts pane. If the folders aren't listed,
add them to the pane.
How?
i.
In
the Picture
Shortcuts pane,
click Add
Picture
Shortcut.
ii.
iii.
Click Add.
The new shortcut appears in the Picture Shortcuts list.
b.
Select the folders containing the pictures you want to work with.
How?
Do one of the following in the Picture Shortcuts list:

NOTE When multiple folders are selected, all the pictures from the selected
folders display in their current sort order in the preview pane.

Click OK.
NOTE You can undo compression by clicking Undo Compress Picture on
the Edit menu. Compression changes will not be saved until you explicitly
save them. You can save your compression changes either immediately after
performing them, or at any time before closing Picture Manager.
