Control-M

Control-M or IOA is the job scheduling and controlling software used in

WellPoint.
How the region works:
1. Define the job using JRR: Whenever a production job is newly implemented
a Job resource request (JRR) is send to scheduling department. They will
define the jobs in IOA based on the request as when to run the job, after
which job etc.
2. Job Scheduling using JSR: Whenever we need to run a job in production
environment we need to schedule the job using a Job scheduling request
(JSR).
Both JSR and JRR are forms available in WellPoint intranet site, this need to be
send to a scheduling mail id (dl_scheduling@wellpoint.com).

Note: To View the Job definition we need to find out the definition library, Use
the command TSO JOBFIND for this. Type in TSO JOBFIND and on prompt give the
Jobnam you are looking for. It will display the Job definition library.

Command G for getting the job flow in case of small job.

If there are a list of jobs triggered by the job, IOA will list all those jobs,
else the next screen will be job definition details. Job Details like the
preceding job in the schedule and other activities will be displayed in the
definition. Press F8 and view the details.
