BANZON ORMOC UPSIDE DOWN

Love in a wrong place

It is saddening for a mother like Marlene Aguilar-Pollard to over protect a son she loves.
Her son, Jason Ivler is the prime suspect in the killing of Renato Victor Ebarle, Jr., son of
Malacañang official Renato Victor Ebarle, Sr. over a traffic altercation in November last year.
It is difficult to blame Marlene who believes in loving a son because of being part of her
flesh and bone. However, it should be a lesson to mothers who have wayward child be protected
for infraction of the law. It would have been better for her to have her son persuaded to
surrender. By doing so, her son could still protect himself in court, instead of relying to fight it
out with the law enforcers.
Jason’s case should have been one only, but now it will be a multiple of offenses that
may send him in prison for a long period. This case of Jason, likewise, should be a reminder to
gun enthusiasts. Owning a gun is for self-protection. It is not a means to show others of being a
macho. Being a man takes many things in life. It could be defeat or shame, glory or honor, but
one thing to remember we are just a drop of water inside a bucket.
Life is too precious that if rich persons could only buy it in a shopping mall, they would
do so. This is the only life we have. Others may not agree with this statement because of belief
that a good ones though died are to go to heaven. There is a saying that “wants to go to heaven,
but no one wants to die.” Yes, no wants to die, because earth is the place for us. There are many
creatures created by the Supreme God living with Him in Heaven, and earth was created to be
inhabited by human beings. If not, God would not create this beautiful earth with life sustaining
environment, food, water, oxygen and many more for man to live forever.
It is the beauty of knowing that there is no life than what we have that aids as in
following the good teachings of Christ. For others, Christ may just be like a myth or a mere
character in the stories of the Holy Bible. Nevertheless, those books’ prediction of the present
natural calamities should awaken each of us to carefully ponder the Holy Scriptures teachings.
The prophecy written the Book of Matthew, Chapter 24 that in the last days there will be
earthquakes from one place to another is presently being fulfilled.
God has predicted it will happen, not that he predicted because he will do it. We must
remember that earthquakes are due to the manmade destruction of the environment and
ecosystem. God only have His prediction written for his true worshipper to be forewarned of
what is in store ahead of us. God is not the one who caused the natural disaster. It is manmade
because men abused nature. It is not the Will of God, but He consent it to happen to be part of
the sign that the last days is now in the threshold of the present generation.
The fulfillment of the prophecy should not be a cause for fear, but should be accepted
that we are now nearing the end. End of what? End of the wicked system. It is not the end of life
on the planet earth, but end of those doing badly, end of those who do not listen to the prophecy.
Christ Jesus said in his prophecy: When you see all these things happening, lift your
heads up because salvation is near. Yes, we have seen wars, economy falling down, nature’s
revenge are now from one place to another, lawlessness is everywhere, so lift your heads up
because survival is just near the corner.
Mere prayers will not save us from destruction, but the doing of the Will of God. So, love
of son should not be in the wrong place and time. The wisdom of God’s Word says: Do not hold
the rod of discipline. True the future life of the children will depend upon the discipline parents
imposed. The right love is to discipline the children for them to gain life everlasting on this
wonderful planet earth. Just to remind “everybody wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to
die.” (Email g_duna@yahoo.com)
