Management Launched in 1987. Max.duration of 8 years fixed as per resolution of the Academic Programmes Council’s Standing Committee at its 20th meeting on 10.08.2006 (ACSC 20.10.2). (DIM, Accordingly, all the old students of Management Programmes (3.80 lakh students) have PGDIM, been advised to complete the Degree/Diploma by DEC.2010 TEE. Thereafter students PGSDM, will have to seek admission ‘afresh’ and apply for transfer of credits earned in previous MBA) Enrol.No. (SOMS is yet to formulate the Credit Transfer Policy). Note: Because of the decision of SOMS to offer MS-94 for ‘OM’ & ‘IM’, a no. of ** students have been deprived of the MBA Degree even after completing 21 courses. Category incorporated in the software: ‘D’ for Direct Entry, ‘S’ for Sequential ‘G’ for DIM/PGDIM (non-graduates have also been awarded PGDIM in the absence non-incorporation of any appropriate code for DIM in the admission software). 30. MBA(B&F) (i) Launched in July 1999. Max. duration: same as indicated for MP above. (ii) Max. duration indicated as above is applicable for MBA(B&F) also. (iii) CT of MS-4, 9 & 491 against CAIIB old scheme (passed pre-Feb.1999) (iv) CT of five courses MS-4, 424, 491, 492 & one elective (out of MS-421 or 423 or 425) allowed against CAIIB new scheme (passed Feb.1999 onwards). (v) Besides above, CT is also granted against Diplomas completed by the students (such as DIB, DFS & DBM) Note: 1. CT w.r.t. (iii) & (iv) decentralized to Regional Centres from July 2006. 2. Consequent to launching of revised curriculum of MBA(B&F) in Jan.2009 cycle, the whole Credit Transfer scheme at (iii), (iv) & (v) has been dispensed with. 31 PGSDM(DE) (i) 1991 and up to 1996 (Jan. cycle). Admission was done without any Entrance Test. (ii) Curriculum: 2 basic courses + 3 specialization courses (iii) In the absence of any effective ‘check’ in the admission software, a no. of students of SDM(DE) have registered for the courses of MBA stream, and in some cases Degrees have also been awarded [(15th meeting of ACSC held on 29.06.05 (ACSC 15.19.3). 32. PGSDM (i) 3 courses from the functional area + 2 from other streams (up to 1996) (Sequential) (ii) All the five courses from the chosen specialization (from 1997 onwards). (iii) However, for ‘OM’, the system of 3+2 remain unchanged even in1997. (iv) MS-94 was offered as Specialization course for ‘OM’ also up to the year 1999. 33 CIT July 2009 - 2 yrs. 34 Diploma in July 2009. In collaboration with IAPI.
