GENERAL
A Chemical Dosing Package is required for Centralized Cooling Water System and
Treatment Plant. The unit shall complete chemical injection comprising of the storage
drums, dosing and metering pumps, piping and necessary instrumentation.

2.0

PROCESS REQUIREMENTS AND PROCESS DESIGN DATA

The Chemical Dosing Package shall be a skid mounted package.

2.2 Chemical Injection System

Chemical injection system shall be provided to maintain water cooling and prevent system from
corrosion, scaling and algae formation for following water quality parameters:
- pH
- Conductivity
- Scaling
- Hardness
2.3 Chemical Compatibility
The Chemical Dosing Package vendor shall provide guarantee for chemical compatibility of the
corrosion inhibitor, anti-scalant and added chemicals with the cooling tower material and heat

2.5 Chemical Data Required

The vendor shall provide the following data regarding the chemicals:
Chemical Name
Material Safety Data Sheets
Dosing Rate and Concentration
Vendor shall advise the use of alkalinity reducers.
The vendor to ensure the following requirements
- Basis of selection of the chemicals to be injected.
- Chemical injection rates.
- Long term supply of the chemical to be injected.

3.0 PACKAGE UNIT SPECIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

- All the piping connections at the battery limit of the package shall be 150# rating flanged connection of
stainless steel material.
- All interskid piping will be hydrotested as per ASME B1.3.
- Metering pump will comply the API-675.
- Chemical storage drum will comply and hydrotested as per ASME Sec VIII Div.I.
- Chemical storage drum interskid piping metallurgy wil be specified by the vendor.
- Mill test report of all items will be supplied by vendor
- Mechanical run, performance and NPSH tests of metering pump shall be performed by the vendor
at his shop.
- NDT test reports will be submitted by vendor.
