Previously known as Town Lake, Lady Bird Lake is Austin's most beloved attraction offering an opportunity to experience the best
that the city has to offer. The lake itself is 416 acres and all along the shoreline you'll find hotels, apartments, ball fields, lush greenery,
Austin's notorious Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trails, recreation water rentals as well as Auditorium Shores.

The Lake

There are several places along the bank of Lady Bird Lake offering recreation watercraft rentals and lessons such as paddle boats,
canoes and paddle boards. With the restriction of motorized water crafts, the lake is a popular training spot for rowing crews across
the country in the cooler months. Other water recreation offered along the shore are Deep Eddy Pool- the oldest pool in Texas and
Lady Bi
Barton Springs Pool- a natural spring that flows into Lady Bird.

The 10.1 miles of Hike and Bike Trails offer free family recreation or a serene work-out space almost all year long. Before 1971 the
shoreline of Lady Bird Lake was littered and full of high tangles of weeds with a few concerned Austinites fighting to improve the area.

When The City of Austin's Lake Beautification Project appointed Lady Bird Johnson the projects honorary chairman, extra attention

community surrounding the history of Austin's Lady Bird Lake and Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trails lives on today as The Trail

The 1.7 mile stretch of The Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail near W. Riverside, W Cesar Chavez and S.1st street offer a wide open space

Stevie Ray Vaughn statue erected in 1994 to honor the late Texas Blues Musician.

Independence!
Were local

Youre moving to the Austin area from somewhere

else why is it important to use a local company?
Because we specialize in knowing everything you need to
know about your new home. We know Central Texas
first-hand the land, the people, the roads, the history.
We live here, work here and invest here.

Local doesnt mean small

Austin is known for its big-city ideas and small-town

feel. That describes us at Independence Title pretty well.
Were local, but were also the largest title company in
Central Texas, with 37 closing offices to serve you. We
have nine national underwriters to support us and a
network of relationships to help facilitate your move, no
matter how far you have to go to get here. Glad to meet
you.

Big doesnt mean impersonal

Every employee is one phone call away from our top

executives, and all decisions are made locally. That
means we deliver services and solutions that are timely
and personal to your particular needs. We give you the full
benefit of our expertise, care, and professionalism on
every transaction. Each investment you make in real
estate is important to you and its important to us.

Make us your personal

title company

If youre working with a Realtor, mortgage lender, or

relocation department, tell them you prefer Independence
Title.
