FIRST AID BOX
1. Design
First Aid Box (FAB) must be made from solid / strong material and can be
easily carried to the place of incident. It must be labeled with the red
crescent or green cross with white background.
2. Location
Every FAB must be placed at a location that can be easily seen, properly
labeled and easy to reach.
Quantity of FAB must be according to work area, worker / occupant. Refer
Appendix 1.
If the FAB is locked, the key must be kept by someone appointed by Head
of Cost Center and must be available whenever required.
If the FAB is not locked, the Cost Center must make sure that the contents
of the FAB is not wrongly used other than for emergency use.
Workers and occupant must be informed of the location of the FAB.
3. Contents
The FAB must have suitable and complete materials. FABs list of
contents as at Appendix 1.
Materials not related to first aid must not be kept in FAB. The following
also must not be kept in FAB;
(i)
(ii)
Consumable drugs.
The FAB must always be checked and refilled. The contents must always
be complete. Outdated and spoiled ones must be replaced immediately.

4. Preparation and Maintenance Cost
Preparation and maintenance cost is the responsibility of each and every
Cost Center.
