ESSENTIALS OF THE COMPUTER COMPONENTS:


1. Hardware
is the physical aspect of computers, telecommunications, and
other devices. It refers to the physical parts or components of a
computer such as the monitor, mouse, keyboard, computer data
storage, hard drive disk (HDD), system unit (graphic cards, sound
cards, memory, motherboard and chips), etc. all of which are physical
objects that can be touched known as tangible.

It refers to the operating system and all utility programs that manage
computer resources at a low level. Software is generally divided into
systems software and applications software. System software is
computer software designed to operate and control the computer
hardware and to provide a platform for running application software. It can
be separated into two different categories, operating systems and utility

software while Applications software comprises programs designed for


an end user, such as word processors, database systems, and
spreadsheet programs.

3. Peopleware
is a term used to refer to one of the three core aspects of
computer technology, the other two being hardware and software. It can
refer to anything that has to do with the role of people in the development
or use of computer software and hardware systems.
