Provide a bridge between the English and Spanish speakers in the community
as well as in the learning arena.
Translate IEPs (Individual Education Plans) for the families who have
students in special education.
Make appointments over the phone for meetings, send out notices, reminder
calls, mediate between parents and the school to meet their needs and be the
liaison between them for effective communication.
Interpret for counselors that work with Hispanic families, audiologist,
parents/teachers conferences, speech therapists, motor therapists in order to
help them give students tests.
Give PRE IPTs (Language Proficiency Tests) screenings in Spanish &
English to preschoolers.
Interpret in expulsion and disciplinary meetings.
Translate bulletins and letters for the Spanish speaking families in the school
district.
Worked in conjunction with the school psychologist in order to help evaluate
