Checkpoint: 1
Name of the activity: Bowling sentences
Procedures:
1. The way to play it is almost the same as the real bowling.
2. The participants are required to roll the ball towards the bottles.
3. Each participant is given one chance to roll the ball.
4. Each bottle is pasted with word. The fallen bottles (word) will be gathered and
the participants have to create few sentences using the words.
5. The facilitator will check the sentences and mark will be given accordingly.
Eg : Words ( I, like, football, playing, my, family, outdoor , activities, love, my, brother,
hiking, enjoy, )

Procedures:

Name of the activity: Interactive reading
Procedures:
1. Facilitator explains that the representative for the group have to pick one card
from the poison box.
2. The pupils in the group have to read the reading text according to the card
chosen.
Reading Mode: Robot Read, Monster Inc, Jumping read, At the zoo, Pirate
speaks,
Mouse squeaks, Opera singer, Possessed Witch.
3. Facilitator gives a set of questions where pupils have to answer and hand in
to facilitator.

Name of the activity: Riddles
Procedures:
1 Facilitator reads the riddles and asks the pupils in the group to listen carefully
to the riddle.
2 Facilitator gives at about 2 minutes for the pupils to discuss the answer for the
riddles together.
3 Facilitator asks the representative from the group to say aloud and spell the
answer.
4 Facilitator will raise the red flag if the answers given by the pupils are correct
and raise the white flag if their answers are wrong.
5 Facilitator will sum up the answer.

Name of the activity: Crossword Puzzle
Procedures:
1 First, facilitator asks the pupils from the group to gather and sit in a group;
2 Facilitator gives the group one crossword puzzles and word search.
3 Facilitator gives instruction and guide on how to do the crossword puzzle and
word search.
4 Facilitator gives or allocates time at about 5 minutes for the participants to
complete the crossword puzzles and word search.
5 Facilitator asks the participants from the group to submit their tasks.
6 Facilitator checks and marks the crossword puzzles and word search.

Name of the activity: Word Jumble
Procedures:
1. The facilitator will give instruction to the participants
2. The facilitator will provide the letters in a box.
3. The participants are required to arrange the letters and form a minimum of 10
words based on the theme given.
4. The participants are given 7 minutes and they need to write the words in a
piece of paper.
5. The facilitator checks the answer.

Procedures:

Name of the activity: Rusted Phone
Procedures:
1. All of the group members will line up.
2. The leader will pick a sentence strip from the box and read it.
3. The leader will be given 1 minute to memorise and give back the sentence strip to
the facilitator.
4. Every person will then whisper what she/he herd to the next person.
5. Each person can only say, "Can you please repeat that?" one time.
6. The last person must speak it out loud.
Eg : Toty, the turtle lives in the sea.

Name of the activity: Jump the Line!
Procedures:
1. The facilitator will prepare a long rope and few name cards. The name cards
will be placed in zig zag mode as the rope serve as guide.
2. The participants are required to line up in front of the rope.
3. Each participant is required to jump in zig zag mode and say out aloud the
name cards.
4. After each participant has finish saying the name cards, they are required to
write back the words that they have said.
5. The participants are not allowed to go back and see the spelling, but they can
ask their friend who have just finish jumping the line.
6. The facilitator will check the pronunciation as well as the spelling.

Name of the activity: Tongue Twister
Procedures:
1. Facilitator gives a tongue twister written on a piece of paper to the group.
2. Each group will get different tongue twister.
3. The facilitator explains the rules of the tongue twister game to the students. The
students need to read and memorize the tongue twister in their respective groups.
4. The facilitator will give 5 minutes for the students to read and memorize the
tongue twister.
5. After that, the students have to perform their tongue twister in their group in front
of the facilitator.
6. The facilitator will check their pronunciation and . If the facilitator does not satisfy
with their performance, the students have to perform the tongue twister again with
correct pronunciation.
