TheadministrationatWebsterThailandisseverelylackinginefficiencyandtheabilitytodotheirjobs
tothemostminimalextent.Thefacultyandstudentsaremoreandmorefedupeverydaywiththelack
ofsufficienttechnology,studentservices,convenienthousingandtransportation,andtheoverall
apatheticattitudeallstudentservicesemployeeshavetowardsstudents.
Thefacilitiesinthisschoolareunacceptablefortheamountoftuitionpaid.Thereisacompletelackof
attention,focus,andservicesprovidedtothestudentbodyincomparisontootheruniversitiesofwhich
arelowerintuitioncosts.Schoolmoralisatanalltimelowduetonofaithatallinhowthisinstitution
isrun.Atotallackoftransparencyisalsoevidentandquestionsofcorruptionandethicsarevery
presentamongstthestudentbody.
Ihavealotoftolerance,Ivebeentoaworseschool.
ItsgoingtobemysecondyearandInoticedthisisgettingworseratherthanbetteroff.
Imgoodwithpeople,friends,teachersinWebster.ButthethingsImnotquiteokaywithisthe
facilitieshere.Thecomputers,internet,cafeteria,someoftheclassrooms,sportareasneedtobe
improved.Alsothediversityofstudents.Itseemstomethatrightnowwehaveanimbalanced
amountineachnationality.Onemorething,themajorsshouldhavemorethanthis.
Theschoolequipmentisverybad,suchasthecomputersintheclassroom,projectors,etc.Andnow
thebiggestproblemisthetransports.
Imjustafreshmanandhavebeenstudyingherealmost6months.Thereareseveralthingsthatare
supposedtobeimproved.Suchasthetenniscourt.Theytoldustheywillrenovatebutnothing
happened.Somegoodandexperiencedteacherhaveresignedwithnoreason.Plus,thehousingfeeis
increasingwhichIthinkisinappropriatebecausetheserviceandfacilitiesarestillunimproved.Iam

Iamsatisfiedwiththeacademiccoursesandtheinstructors.Iamnotsatisfiedwiththefollowing:The
schoolcomputersystemistooslowtoconductproperresearch.Whenmanystudentsusethe
computers,thesystemslowstoasnailspace.Theinstructorsalsocomplainaboutheclassroom
terminalsslowprocessingspeedandunreliability.
LowqualityITfacilities,theschoolisafake,falseadvertising,somepromiscuousteachers,low
standardschoolsurroundings,disturbancesofoutsidecreatures,nonpromisingminors,cuttingcosts
whenstudentswhoarenotonscholarshiparepaying400,000bahtayear.
Imhappytobestudyhere,butfeelsomeofourprofessorarenotqualified.Verybadcomputerand
internet.Oftenencountertechnicalproblems.

ComparetoThaiuniversity,IlikethewayWUTis.However,IneverknowwhatAmericaneducation
lookslike.WhenIfirstcomehere,quitelowerthanmyexpectations,suchastheinternet,somerumors
aboutcorruption,thegymissmallerthanIexpected,basketballcourtok.
Campusisokbutotherfacilitiesareverypoor.Wehavetopaythesameamountofmoneybutthe
servicesarecuteveryyearandsemester.Thelibraryisverydisgraceful.
Everydayincollegeisthesame.Theremustbesomeinnovativeactivitythathelpstorefreshstudent

theircareerpotentialsandopportunities.Enlightenmentregardingwhatjobsfityourpersonalityand
basiclearningaboutdifferentcareercharacters,scoreofworketc.
Whyisourtransportationcut?Wearestillcharged5,100bahtor170dollars!Unethical!IquoteBom
(thestudentservicesofficer)WUTwascovering50%oftransportationfees,sothisiswhywecant

Studentsarenotencouragedandmadeawareoftheimportanceofextracurricularfortheirfuture(jobs
andgraduateschool)Itssurprisingthatstudentscangraduatewithnothingelselikevolunteerworkor
clubs.
Takingattendanceatacollegeforadultswhenwearepayingforaservicedoesntmakesense.Some
classesyoudontlearnanythinginclass.Soreadingatextbookbyyourselfwouldbemoreeffective.
Theattitudeoftheadministrationisawful,thetechnologyoncampusisextremelyinadequate,along
withthetechnologyinstudenthousing.Thestudenttransportationislacking.
Thisschoolhassomuchpotential!Irealizebudgetconcernsandissuesarepresentbutfortheamount
intuitionpaidthestudentsarereceivingasubstandarduniversityexperience.Unacceptableand
unethicaltorunaeducationalinstitutioninthismanner.Itisrunmorelikeabusinessschemethana
placeoflearningandexperience.Noregardforstudentqualityoflife,education,andfuture.
Whatdoestherectordowithallthemoney?
Therearetoomanypeoplefromonecountryfrom1country,whichformslittlegroups.Inorderto
research/writepapersweneedtobringourlaptops.Lackofinternetinclassrooms.Question:Wepay
somuchforschool,wheredoesitallgo?Wedontseeanyimprovement,toaddtoallthismajor
budgetcutshaveoccurred(transportation.)Universityneedsrepaintingeverywhereitsdirty.Ifeelour
moneygoestosomepeoplespockets.
IdemandthequalityeducationImpayingfor.Iftheylike,thingsgetdone.

Theelectricityissometimescutoff.Manyclassescancelled.Physicalconditionofcampusmustbe
improvedalotcleanupandrenovatetheoldbuildingoppositethelibrary,renovatetenniscourts,grow
somemoretrees.Sportsonlysoccerandbasketballaresupported.Recently,thebusschedulehas
beencutanditcausedalotofproblems.Studentshavenoseatsandhavetostandallthewayback
home.
Housingpolicyisnotclearlyexplainedverballyuponcheckin.Studentsareexpectedtoreadand
clearlyunderstandhousingpolicy.Thereareunwrittenrulesthatapplyaswell.ForexampleIresided
atPremierhoseduringthespring2010semester.WhenIrequestedtomove2monthsbeforetheend
ofthesemester,IwastoldthatsinceIdidnotmoveoutwithinthefirstsevendaysIwasrequiredto
payfortheremainingtwomonths.ThisisanunwrittenrulestatedbyMr.Bom.ThereasonI
requestedtomovewasduetotheunreliablecomputersystemwhichisconsistentlyunavailablefrom
11pmto8am.Thisnegativelyaffectedmystudiesandgrades.Ialsohadaseriousmosquitoproblem
exacerbatedbythelackofscreendoorsaserioushealthconcern.Therearepoisonoussnakesthat
cameintomyhousing.
Ifeelthattherearethatmanyactivitiesforstudentstojoin,classesarenotsovariedtochoosefrom,
andsomeprofessorsarenotpreferable.Thepricesfordormsistooexpensivecomparingtothoseof
Thaiuniversity.Busscheduleisnotproperforstudentsneeds.
Needmorecomputersandrecreationalfacilitiesoncampus.Dormitoryisexpensive.Buildingsareso
old.BusscheduleIsnotappropriateforstudents.Internetconnectionsucks.
Campuslife,sports/recreationalfacilities.Thegymshouldbebiggerthanthisandmorebadminton
court.Thebasketballcourtissoold.Andtheelectricityoncampusisbad.
