If assembly parts are created as solid models, they can be used with CADKEY solid models
or for exporting in the ACIS-SAT format. DRAFT-PAK feature holes can automatically be
Boolean subtracted from solids models. The programs rollback/forward feature can be
used to delete or regenerate the solid model in one step if the user incorrectly specifies
a design parameter.

Customization for Non-Standard

Components, Mathematical Variables,

In addition to standard components, DRAFT-PAK also
allows you to add your own fasteners and feature holes to its
database. The program supports the widely used dBASE III,
III+ and IV file formats (.DBF) for added flexibility. For more

includes optional animation of 2D and 3D fasteners, features
and mechanical elements, along with configurable rotation
increments for animated rotational placements.

DRAFT-PAKs Work-Smart Utilities deliver speed and high
performance for efficient mechanical design. For your drafting
needs, the Autodraw feature completely automates the
creation and alignment of a multi-view engineering drawing.
You will be prompted to fill in the title block information
just accept your previous defaults, or key-in new values and
text. Using the Autodraw setup, you can configure the drawing
border and define how you will view levels.
For further drawing efficiency, the ultra-handy Compress
utility automatically flattens 3D models and modelized layouts
to 2D geometry. The Remove Duplicates function removes

overlapping entities and merges adjacent segmented

curves or lines into one. Center lines and isometric
connection lines can be automatically generated
between connected arcs and circles on parallel
planes using DRAFT-PAKs Horizon/Center Lines tool.
The programs Verify Dimensions utility analyzes
model-mode dimensions and will mark any dimensions
that do not agree with the geometry. This utility is
very useful for checking drawings prior to approval
or manufacture, or for verifying translated drawings
received from other CAD sources. Tabular Dimensioning
lets you create rectangular coordinate dimensions in
tabular form with several customization options.
Additional utilities for creating tables aid users in
quickly completing Bills of Materials.
To make your worksessions easier, users can easily
manipulate levels by selecting geometry with the Level
Manager, and store up to 40 commonly used view and
level configurations with the Picture Manager utility.
Using the Set Attributes function, you can set system
attributes, such as color and text height, by selecting
existing entities and conveniently applying those
characteristics to the next design operation.
