My first impression of the company was how well-organized and big the actual plant is. We have learned
all about manufacturing plants in our subject last semester, Manufacturing Pharmacy, but nothing could
have amazed me in the actual plant.

1. Describe your personal insights on what pharmacists really do in a manufacturing company.
In the company, pharmacists do rounds and double check the manufacturing process of the drugs. Its
very fitting and I see myself doing the same thing when I become a pharmacist.

2. In your own realization, why is a hands-on training important for interns as well as for in- house personnel?
Hands-on training is very important as they provide real world experiences for the trainee. It gives them a
sense of empowerment and importance, seeing as the company would trust them enough to actually
handle the common rounds as the other employees.

Yes, during the end of every batch. This is to track which of the personnel/interns were present during the
time of the drug-making process.

1. Name two (2) analytical equipments that you were able to handle during the internship period. Be able to
describe the difficulties you personally encountered in such experience.
Capsule Making Machine: The equipment was huge and had many buttons. It was confusing to figure
out what they did without the supervision of personnel.
FTIR: This machine is used to analyze the sample given in order to confirm that whatever is on the label
of the sample given is what it is. Its hard to understand the graph that shows on the computer once the
scan is complete.

1. As a future pharmacist, would you rather perform a 100% inspection on manufactured drug products or not?
Why?
It would be best to do so, unfortunately, manufacturing companies produce tons of drugs every day.
Checking every single one of them would be time consuming and should only be done if the machines
used to make these drugs have recently malfunctioned.
